River View Golf Course
About
Situated within the Santa Ana Riverbed, River View Golf Course is conveniently located just minutes from Disneyland, Anaheim, and Long Beach. The course's design intertwines with the river, providing challenging hazards on several holes. The narrow layout also features elevated greens that rarely offer a flat lie and are fiercely guarded by sand. Accuracy is a necessity throughout this golf course. Although it offers a fair amount of challenges, there is also ample room off the tees that makes the course more accessible for beginners. River View G.C. is also popular for its practice facilities, which include a driving range with targets and the county's largest putting course. While the other facilities may be modest, River View offers an affordable game that is one of Orange County's best values.

Very slow on the front nine, but then picked up.
Unique course.
Not a beginners course!
5 hours behind beginners who seem never to have been on a golf course before.
The Marshall eventually spoke to them and got them to move a little faster. But the course should not let absolute beginners play here.
River View is not possible for multiple beginner golfers hitting or shanking continuously for 50 yards or so, or play along the sand in the river bed.!! Ridiculous!. Go to Newport Beach and play the first 9 - or any other short par 3 courses locally.
Apart from frustration, the course is in good condition at present, much better than in 2021.
Great Course for the Money
The lay out can be a bit confusing. The course is very well manicured. A lot of long holes. Course is challenging. Great course for the money. I will be back!!
Hills and valleys… hard to judge shots
Nice greens for a muni
Fairways are just ok
Good course very slow pace played sunday
Played Sunday around 10ish and didn’t finish til 3. Very slow pace maybe it’s better on other days. Conditions decent fairways good as well. Greens most of them were nice
A lovely course - with plenty of varied challenges
Now in very good condition after sanding of the greens recently, this is a lovely course to play. Typically 4 1/2 hours around, in my experience.
A good set of widely varying challenges, not overly long - all for a fair cost. A cart is essential - walking this course (once) drained me totally.
This has become my favorite course in the area. Good value for money.
Fabulous
Lots of downhill drive then most elevated approach shots. Funky layout but lots of fun. . First timer, double check your tee alignment.. I had a fabulous time with the groupings I was with. . Thanks!
Good course for the price
Fun course to play, especially for the price. You will have some interesting shots due to tree placements which makes a pretty straight hole a bit more complex. Good course for new to average players. The green fees are more than reasonable and make this a fun course to add to my rotation.
Not worth it
Hit a perfect drive lands in a dirt patch in the “fairway”.
Roll a perfect put it bounces all the way by the hole.
Tee boxes crap.
Fairways are crap.
Greens CRAP.
Might as well go hit around your local park. This place is way way way to expensive for the course conditions to be this poor.
