Situated within the Santa Ana Riverbed, River View Golf Course is conveniently located just minutes from Disneyland, Anaheim, and Long Beach. The course's design intertwines with the river, providing challenging hazards on several holes. The narrow layout also features elevated greens that rarely offer a flat lie and are fiercely guarded by sand. Accuracy is a necessity throughout this golf course. Although it offers a fair amount of challenges, there is also ample room off the tees that makes the course more accessible for beginners. River View G.C. is also popular for its practice facilities, which include a driving range with targets and the county's largest putting course. While the other facilities may be modest, River View offers an affordable game that is one of Orange County's best values.

Great staff and course
The staff was great. The course had a few dead spots due to the amount of rain the area had earlier. Tight fairways and forgiving greens although some are small but challenging. The two ladies in the food shop were amazing and the breakfast burritos were awesome.
A BIT MUCH
My brothers and I played the day after it rained, so we already new the course was going to be re-routed. We decided to keep our tee time, but was told we could get a discounted rate. Well..... if you think $27 is a discounted rate, you've got another thing coming. we paid for basically an executive course. Mostly par3's. a bit much.
I really enjoy this course when it's fully open, would would never recommend it to someone if it's only 9 and the wash is full.
Slow Round but Serviceable
Round started at 9:30, pace of play was quite slow. Slow enough for a 5 hour round so, we weren't all that happy about that. It was a Saturday so it could have been slower. Course has some dry spots but wasn't unplayable. I would play it again for a hot deal or a serviceable replacement for a weekend round.
Fun, Challenging course
Definitely come here and be ready to be mentally challenge. Elevated tees and greens. Lots of undulations on the greens. Pace of play can be slow at times due to beginners, but overall nice course!
Great Course
Very good round. Pace of play was good on a busy day. Greens are in excellent condition. Please fix your ball marks and they'll stay that way. Fairways are good and not to bumpy at all. Overall excellent course for the price and being a public course. Will play again.
Surprisingly challenging
Some of the holes have fine challenges for any golfer.
The elevated and fairly small undulating greens make you consider your shots most carefully - as the penalties for poor accuracy are challenging.
Always good to play here with good company.
River View is just that!
I like this course for the layout and the price. Watch out for the GPS golf carts as they stop if you get to close to the greens and other no go areas.
Love this course, all the workers are so friendly. Havd played here 150 times, it is a great value for the money
Target golf
Boy what a course. Feels like a desert course and mountain course combined. Low flat fairways and high elevated greens. I will play this course again and again
