River View Golf Course
About
Situated within the Santa Ana Riverbed, River View Golf Course is conveniently located just minutes from Disneyland, Anaheim, and Long Beach. The course's design intertwines with the river, providing challenging hazards on several holes. The narrow layout also features elevated greens that rarely offer a flat lie and are fiercely guarded by sand. Accuracy is a necessity throughout this golf course. Although it offers a fair amount of challenges, there is also ample room off the tees that makes the course more accessible for beginners. River View G.C. is also popular for its practice facilities, which include a driving range with targets and the county's largest putting course. While the other facilities may be modest, River View offers an affordable game that is one of Orange County's best values.

Last resort for 18
First group out so didn’t have to worry about pace of play! That being said, staff was late so late checking in and starting… Layout is nothing to write home about and a little confusing. Fairways are in very rough shape with several river beds of “waste bunkers” filled with gravel. Only positive is that the greens were in good shape
Bad
Terrible pace of place, we were 10 minutes behind by the 4th hole. On the 13tg hole we were over 30 minutes behind and one of our carts died. We waited over 30 minutes for someone to come and had to call the front office twice. By the time someone got to us it was to dark to keep playing. Got through 13 holes in 3 1/2 hours. Will not be coming back to this course.
Green condition was good!
I like this course as it's somewhat a bit challenging. And like the course layout as it's not boring. The weather was perfect in Nov.
Great course, great value and staff.
Well worth the visit, a lot of fun. Hoping winter flooding is minimal and floating bridges do the work. Thanks to Angel and Ralph for a good day.
Pleasantly surprised
Gives you a chance to air it out and yet tests your game with several uphill greens. Anytime you can play golf for less than forty bucks and have fun is worth playing again. I’m going back next week.
Not easy but challengable!
Courses are narrow. So you must hit/shoot your ball straight. There are so many ups and downs. You need good imagination to find the real distance to your green. Good luck!!
Pleasantly Surprised
Almost everything about this course was average. The greens were generally ok. A few could use some work but overall the problem was more with people not repairing pitch marks, not much you can do about that. The tee boxes and fairways were average for the price point. The layout is a little funky and you have to cross over a drainage ditch several times.
What sets this course apart in OC is the pace of play. It was so nice compared to almost every Other course at this price point in the area. They properly spaced everyone out in 15 minute incriminates and I only had to wait on a tee box twice in 18 holes.
