River View Golf Course
About
Situated within the Santa Ana Riverbed, River View Golf Course is conveniently located just minutes from Disneyland, Anaheim, and Long Beach. The course's design intertwines with the river, providing challenging hazards on several holes. The narrow layout also features elevated greens that rarely offer a flat lie and are fiercely guarded by sand. Accuracy is a necessity throughout this golf course. Although it offers a fair amount of challenges, there is also ample room off the tees that makes the course more accessible for beginners. River View G.C. is also popular for its practice facilities, which include a driving range with targets and the county's largest putting course. While the other facilities may be modest, River View offers an affordable game that is one of Orange County's best values.

Not easy but challengable!
Courses are narrow. So you must hit/shoot your ball straight. There are so many ups and downs. You need good imagination to find the real distance to your green. Good luck!!
Pleasantly Surprised
Almost everything about this course was average. The greens were generally ok. A few could use some work but overall the problem was more with people not repairing pitch marks, not much you can do about that. The tee boxes and fairways were average for the price point. The layout is a little funky and you have to cross over a drainage ditch several times.
What sets this course apart in OC is the pace of play. It was so nice compared to almost every Other course at this price point in the area. They properly spaced everyone out in 15 minute incriminates and I only had to wait on a tee box twice in 18 holes.
Been here long time ago
I was asking family members do they remember this course. Finally we did after couple of holes that layout along side of dry river banks.
Pace of play was bit slow but otherwise pretty good. I don’t I will be walking this course but seen few people did.
I may come here when I need to near by but would like to play 18 holes. There are few courses with under par 60… I don’t think so.
If you are long hitter with accuracy you should have good scores
Odd layout
The layout was a little difficult to follow but made it an interesting course. Fairways were a little rough but the greens and tee boxes were some of the best I’ve played on in months. Had a great round the pace of play was slow even with two groups letting us play through.
Fantastic Value - Will be back
Had an awesome day playing this course for the first time. The fairways, bunkers, and tee boxes ok good, not great but not terrible. Greens were rolling well.
Course layout makes it an interesting challenge despite being a 6100 yard par 70. Handful of greens perched up a on a hill. Lots of dog leg par 4s/5s.
I will absolutely be back. The value to pay $37 to walk middle of a day on a Sunday is very phenomenal. Not many courses in the greater LA have as good as value as River View does.
