Situated within the Santa Ana Riverbed, River View Golf Course is conveniently located just minutes from Disneyland, Anaheim, and Long Beach. The course's design intertwines with the river, providing challenging hazards on several holes. The narrow layout also features elevated greens that rarely offer a flat lie and are fiercely guarded by sand. Accuracy is a necessity throughout this golf course. Although it offers a fair amount of challenges, there is also ample room off the tees that makes the course more accessible for beginners. River View G.C. is also popular for its practice facilities, which include a driving range with targets and the county's largest putting course. While the other facilities may be modest, River View offers an affordable game that is one of Orange County's best values.

Maybe if you are a local. But traveling 50 miles…
Ok so, this course shouldn’t be that tough. But, it is. The river bed makes this place a target golfers dream. Not a lot of room for error. If you are a hacker don’t play here you will lose balls and be frustrated by the set up. The greens are nice and roll really well. If you are a local and this is your best option by proximity. Fine! But do not. I repeat do not travel to play this course. We played behind a twosome whom were playing multiple balls and losing them and then trying to find them and we even asked to play through and they blamed the slow play on the foursome in front of them and they were playing slow but these two were awful. It ended up being a close to 5 hr round and we left at 16. Play at your own risk. Practice facility at this course is really really nice though. Use it.
Laid back fun golf course
I like this course because of its relaxed atmosphere. It’s a fun little course with all reachable par fives. The fairways are not well maintained but the greens are in very good shape. At under $50 green fee, it’s a course you can chase your personal best score.

Best Value for the $$$
As many other reviews said before, this is the best you will get for your money in the area. Course layout is great, and is pretty well kept considering how arid it can be as you move away from the coast. It's not perfect; but, it's challenging and for the $$$, it's on par with courses closer to the coast (albeit a bit hotter being inland a ways). That being said, the pace of play is better here than almost anything you will find in Huntington Beach, Newport, or Costa Mesa.
Nice greens
The fairways are in pretty good condition but best of all there is no water on the river what makes the fairways a little bit wider
Best place to golf around
I haven’t played this course in 3 years and the course is in great shape, friendly staff, finished in 3 and a half hours. Will be back at least once a week!!
