Nice layout
My first time. I like the layout and views. Greens were still healing from being punched recently, but not bad. Played in about 3 hours. I will definitely be back.
Great Course
We played the West Course. It has generous fairway, good maintenance, and friendly staff. Well worth the money.
I only wish other golfers would repair their ball marks and the bottles on our cart were not empty so that we could repair the divots.
Thank you for the nice review. The course is in good condition. We are taking small steps in improving the whole golf experience for you.
Fabulous Course
Fun course with great views. Several holes are highly elevated with adventuresome twists and turns. Greens are fast and well maintained.
Thank you for your playing Blue Rock Springs. Customer comments are always beneficial. We hope to see you soon.

Love Blue Rock golf course
Four of us played in the morning if a very hot day. Blue Rock was perfect as usual. The views from some of the west course T boxes were magnificent. So if you're having a really rotten round, the view of the whole Bay Area will certainly improve your day.
Staff of course always gets 5 stars. Course is outstanding. Well kept. They take pride in their golf courses appearance even during the worst drought in 30 years. The food at the cafe is very good.
East course blue rock
I just started golfing about 2 years ago. I was able to get a good deal on golfnow for a twilight tee time. The course is in good conditon, the staff is nice and prompt. West course is usually all booked up for some reason so I always play the east course. Some say the west course is a little more open for the beginner that's why it's always booked. I don't mind east or west as long as it's a cheap tee time. Lol. So anyways back to my round. Me and my father inlaw played the east course on a weekday at the twilight time, there were suprisely a lot of people playing being that it was late in the day. We were able to get a quick 18 in about 3 hours and able to catch the game after. Driving range and putting area are in good condition. I Live close by and always enjoy playing the east course. Good condition, good pace. Would recommend for a quick 18.
Thank you for coming out and enjoying Blue Rock Springs. If there is anything we can do to make your golf experience better, please call or email me. Thanks again!

Players attitude
Overall the course was very good and play was going along at a reasonable rate. At the 7th hole which is a par 5, I believe, was a downhill dogleg right where you can see the entire hole from the tee box. On our drives, two of our foursome hit the ball in the middle of the fairway and when we got there both balls were missing. As it turns out both balls plug and it took some time to find them. For the next shot we had to wait for the green to clear because one player in our foursome could reach the green in two which he did. Well an individual in the group behind us took issue with our play and called the clubhouse to complain about our style of play. He was not complaining about our pace because we were right behind the group in front. When the course marshal caught up with us, and we were backed up waiting to hit our balls, all he could say was to play ready golf and that the group behind us called and complained. Needless to say that when the individual passed us words were spoken and they were not to kind. In fact they were very inflammatory. Eventually when we were on another par 5 on the back nine he hit into us. Granted it was a down hill par five and we were over the hill and out of sight but he should of checked before he hit because we were waiting for the green to clear. When he came over the hill and saw what he did all he could do was laugh. We did or say nothing to him. The round of golf was one of the worst one I have ever played knowing he would hit into us at any moment or even start something on the course. As it turned out the marshal came back to us and explained that the reason play was so slow was the group that was two fore some in front of us. They fell back about two holes and he asked them to pick it up. Don't know if this is an ongoing issue at this course but my guess is that the individual who cause all of the trouble behind us has done this before. I an sorry I did not report him to the pro shop but he should be either educated on some form of golf etiquette or be kept off the course. I think the marshal handled the situation as well as possible but than again he may know the individual because he seemed to be a local.
Bob - Thank you for your feedback. I'm sorry you and your playing partners had an issue with the group behind you. Next time, please feel free to call the golf shop and we will do our best to resolve this situation.
Thank you.

Good course for the money.
I played on the east course last Labor Day for my first time at Blue Rock. The course was in good condition for the drought, especially the greens. Course was interesting and had some pretty cooll holes. On minor knock is that of the 5 par 3's, I used the same club for 4 of them, meaning there wasn't much distance variation.
Look forward to trying the west course.
Excellent value - great course
I've play here a few times, overall it's a high end course disguised as a public one. It's very comparable to private clubs I've seen.
Generally the course is in pretty great condition. The service staff is always friendly and carts and walkers are in good working order.
Accuracy is rewarded over length mostly. The par 3s are not typical give mes. The par 4s are just right, and the par 5s are narrow. Tee boxes are very good although patrons should make an effort
To fill divots. Fairways are good and there aren't too many out of bounds unless you actually hit out of the course... The only water hazard comes into play on the last few holes. The Greens are very good and challenging. The only major draw back is the sand traps which are pretty hard.
Play is generally smooth but sometimes slows and some patrons are not familiar with rules and promptness on the course but it's not a deal breaker.
Again overall value is excellent. The course design, conditions, playability and service is outstanding.
Blue Rock Rocks it
The course was is excellent condition considering the drought. Green fairways and perfect greens made for a fun round of golf. I played the east course.
The layout is great
Overall the course was in really good shape, however the bunkers had about as much give as the parking lot!! They were hard and full of rocks. I'm no expert by any means but usually I'm a good bunker player, getting out with the first shot but it was taking a minimum of 2 and at times 3. It wasn't just me either the other two players in my group were having the same issues.
More challenging course
I played this course, 5 - years ago. It haven't changed a bet. They did a good job, to kept the course perfect. When I have a chance, I would love to play this challenging course again. I highly recommend to all golfers, to play this golf course
Good Public Course
The course was in good conditions especially with drought conditions. It was still green and the greens were a little fast. Now the cart I had broke down, and their staff stinks but once you get on the course and get a cart that works it is fine for the money. Pace of play was slow bit should expect it on the weekends. Also no sand in the bunkers!
Wow! What a surprise!
What the heck is going on at Blue Rock!? Something good obliviously cause the course conditions are outstanding! I'ts been about two years since I've played the rock and when my buddy suggested to play there I told him we should play elsewhere because my last experience at BR was not good. We decided to give it a try and I am so happy we did! The east course greens are the best I've ever seen them! Wow! Holding shots, putting true and smooth as glass! Wonderful experience on every hole! I will be spreading the word that BR is the place to go to! Guys in the pro shop make you feel like a long lost buddy back to visit! Great experience all the way around! Definitely getting the bang for your buck!
Well groomed and maintained course with great staff.
Very enjoyable game thanks to the course conditions and staff. Other players were very friendly and the pace was perfect. I can't want to go back.
You will LOVE this Golf Course !!
Two Course's to choose from with views & very well maintained. Just go. Thanks to the staff for your
smiles.

good course
I was pleasantly surprised at how well maintained the course was, especially the greens. For a heavily played course to have the greens in such good condition as they were is remarkable. Golf course maintenance techniques seem to have advanced greatly in the last few years.
Backed Up on Every Hole
This is a great course to play if you have a lot of time. We started at 1040 and were backed up on every hole with a wait time of 10-15 minutes. It took four and a half hours just to play 15 holes and we left at that point.
Nice Course
Great course for the price. I am fairly new at golf and enjoy the challenges at this course.
Beautiful day. Great pace. Great views. Staff don't care.
The course was beautiful, could use more signage to direct newbies to next hole etc. Pace was totally unrushed. But it's the staff who don't seem to care. Here I was asking to give my hard earned $ to a guy who preferred to discuss with his coworkers, a third employee's schedule! That's right, I know enough about these two men to know when they work next. All I want is someone to give me the cart keys and my receipt.
Then at 9, we tried to call the grill to order food, but no answer. I will say though, that two Polish dogs & two Fosters Cans will only set u back $18, that's a DEAL.
First impressions are always important. Thank you for coming out and enjoying the "BLUE ROCK" experience in person.
