About
Mountain views can be found on all 18 holes at Butternut Creek Golf Course, located in north Georgia. Elevation changes, mounds and undulating greens are all part of the challenge on the Bill Watts-designed golf course. No two holes are alike and water comes into play on 13 holes. With four to six tee boxes on every hole, the golf course can play as short or as long as you like. Butternut Creek is owned and operated by the Union County Recreation Department.

Nice course. Needs a little love, was very wet from rain storm but was fun and a pretty good value
Great course, awesome staff!!!
I’m a huge fan on this course. It’s not an easy course but it’s gorgeous. I love the greens and I love that every hole feels like a uphill shot-because it is. The staff is probably the most friendly staff in the industry. If you’re in the area you should definitely play here. I’ll be back for sure.

Views are great, elevation challenging, and green speed erratic
Overall very good
Besides the bunkers needing a help, course was very well maintained and a bit more open for my myself and 10!year old son to play at.
Always a good golf value
Whenever we come to the mountains for a getaway I always play this course. Fun layout. Challenging but not overly so. Staff always nice. Greens are on the slower side and ironically the ball doesn’t hold as well for slow greens so be aware. But always an enjoyable round.
Screwed
We were told that 2 hoes were closed due to rain. One was soggy but there was nothing wrong with the other, They we had to play 16 not 18 holes. Thus SCREWED!
