About
Chicopee Woods Golf Course is a public, 27-hole layout in Gainesville. The course is tucked amongst the Appalachian foothills, giving it a scenic terrain of rolling hills. The holes are divided into three nines: the Village, the Mill, and the School, that are played in three different 18-hole combinations. Five sets of tees provide even more variety. The Village nine is the longest of the three and it's also the driest. There is only a small lake beside the second hole. That doesn't mean the golf course isn't challenging though, you'll still face several strategically placed bunkers. There are a few scattered trees but the course is mostly open and offers some room for error. In addition to the 27 holes, Chicopee Woods G.C. also has a driving range and chipping and putting greens.

Great course for your money
The course is in great shape. The greens are fast and in excellent condition. I love to play Chicopee Woods golf course. All 3 nine hole courses are different and unique. Thanks for a great time.
Beautiful Course but play was slow
Course was beautiul amd the other players with stated they would love to play again. However, we started at 4pm and was only able to play 11 holes due to 1 group that had 4 carts. I could not tell if all were playing or if 2 carts were riders only. Then it got dark and had to return the carts at 7:20pm.

Good course in Gainesville
Always enjoy Chicopee Woods, though we did experience a slow pace of play on Sunday afternoon. Didn’t see a marshall on the back nine and could’ve used one. Excellent course conditions and they’ve done some very nice work on the bunkers and cart paths this year.

Better shape than more expensive courses
I have played this course a few times now and it has always been an enjoyable experience. The course is consistently in as well, and often better shape than some of the more expensive courses within 30-45 minutes. The course, even though it has some elevation changes, it is not as severe as some of the other courses. The fairways are fairly wide which make for a more playable round. The staff has always been very friendly. I will continue to choose to play here even though I have other courses closer to home.

Favorite course in the area
Course looks great. Greens, tees, fairways all great. Way too much sand in the bunkers - total sugar. Only saw the bev cart once tho. Common issue. Sometimes the bev cart quits at 5:00 on a Saturday, too.

Chicopee is awesome
For a county course it’s as lush as many private clubs, look forward to putting on those greens once the sand is gone

Five hour and ten minute golf round. Incredibly slow, 3 groups on every hole. Course is in great shape but pace will make me not come back.

Rate of play was extremely slow. Had to wait for up two groups to tee off on every hole during the back nine play.

Play was backed up when we started
We had 3 groups waiting at the first tee. The next group ahead of us had 3 carts and 5 players. We had others try to go in front of us because they were frustrated that play was backed up so much.

Way too crowded
Good course at fair price which leads to overcrowding. Starter was not friendly and they did a poor job controlling pace of play. 5 hour+ round. Course was in good shape.

Chicopee Rocks
Greens were fantastic. Pace of play was 4 hours 10 min and we had to wait a couple of times for the 3 some in front of us on a busy Saturday morning. Staff and rangers were friendly and attentive. I had not been back in almost 10 years but I will be back soon.
