About
Chicopee Woods Golf Course is a public, 27-hole layout in Gainesville. The course is tucked amongst the Appalachian foothills, giving it a scenic terrain of rolling hills. The holes are divided into three nines: the Village, the Mill, and the School, that are played in three different 18-hole combinations. Five sets of tees provide even more variety. The Village nine is the longest of the three and it's also the driest. There is only a small lake beside the second hole. That doesn't mean the golf course isn't challenging though, you'll still face several strategically placed bunkers. There are a few scattered trees but the course is mostly open and offers some room for error. In addition to the 27 holes, Chicopee Woods G.C. also has a driving range and chipping and putting greens.

Overplayed mess of a nice facility.
Staff are not friendly. No marshall to encourage reasonable pace of play. Driving range had zero grass to hit from, straight dirt. Greens are the highlight of course conditions. 4:45 round with a foursome waiting 5+ minutes to tee off every hole.
Great golf course
Chicopee is in great shape and condition. Pace of play was good and staff is friendly.

I have played in this 27hole courses many times and this is one of the best public courses for money in north metro Atlanta area.
Great course layouts and no houses along the course, all wooded areas. It feels like i am on vacation.
Fairways and greens were in near perfect conditions.
Best course in 50 mile’s radius.
This is my favorite Golf Course!!!!

Course was in excellent condition as usual, great prefall day to play, shop 79, best score in a while.You should come give it a try soon.
Best place, just watch your timing
I play here regularly, and this round was the first time i've had this happen. I check in and pay for a 430 tee time, and the cashier doesn't bother to let me know that i may not have enough time to finish. It isn't until after i've warmed up and go to the starting house that the marshal tells me i have to be back in by 8. Needless to say i didn't finish my round, and if i had known that, i wouldn't have played 18 and just played 9. They shouldn't be letting people play and start after 3:30 if they know pace of play is 4.5hrs and they want everyone off the course at a certain time.
Good experience
Very organized staff on a weekend. Even with an outing playing behind us. Pace of Play was awesome and we played as a foursome in just under 4 hours. Carts were in great condition and stocked with sand, club cleaners, and a cooler. Cart GPS is very accurate. 100 bucks for 18 holes and 25 range balls is a touch on the high side, but not unfair to have a good experience.
Only negative is them not having a liquor license so it’s beer/wine only. I probably would have had a couple high noons or long drinks if they could sell drinks w liquor
Must play here
Enjoy golfing here. Course layout and conditions are the best in the area. Very well maintained greens, tee boxes and fairways. Nice clean golf carts. All around a great experience.

Course was it excellent condition as usual, greens were not fast or slow, a great day to play, give it a try soon.
Beautiful layout and property
Have played course many times over years, beautiful property with challenging layout. Overpriced at $175 rate and even for the discount rate $150 a round. Some greens definitely not conditions in previous months or years played. More of a $80/$90 round course. Again, love layout and property just over priced.
Great Course and Well Maintained
It’s been a few years since playing Chicopee Woods golf course and forgot how well maintained and enjoyable the layout is. Each hole was very well manicured from tee boxes to greens. The layout was fairly wide open but still challenging and able to score. Reasonable value for the experience. The pro shop and starter were very friendly and pace of play was phenomenal (was mid-day to be fair). Really enjoyed my experience and look forward to coming back.
Always a great round
Course was wet due to the rain, car path only slowed us down a bit, but overall a great round as usual at Chicopee!
Greens and fairways were in great shape and the staff is always great!
Sunday golf
Played 18 this past Sunday after steady rain all morning. Rain stopped just before tee off, the course was in great shape considering the amount of rain. Greens were in excellent condition!
Fantastic course
A few holes have quirky layouts but conditions were absolutely perfect.
