About
Chicopee Woods Golf Course is a public, 27-hole layout in Gainesville. The course is tucked amongst the Appalachian foothills, giving it a scenic terrain of rolling hills. The holes are divided into three nines: the Village, the Mill, and the School, that are played in three different 18-hole combinations. Five sets of tees provide even more variety. The Village nine is the longest of the three and it's also the driest. There is only a small lake beside the second hole. That doesn't mean the golf course isn't challenging though, you'll still face several strategically placed bunkers. There are a few scattered trees but the course is mostly open and offers some room for error. In addition to the 27 holes, Chicopee Woods G.C. also has a driving range and chipping and putting greens.

Nice December day for Golf
Love this place - the Mill and Village are my favorite of the 3 sections. Greens were GREAT shape! It was a partly sunny day and got up to 65 degrees, which is NICE for winter play!

Great Day to play golf in December
Love this place! With 27 holes the change up variety makes it great and never gets "boring" this way ! Played the Village and Mill next time what to do the School with Mill or whatever. Temp this time of year was GREAT ! 68 degrees. Like the "white" sand in the traps!

Chicopee - Always a great round!
I've played Chicopee a number of times. I like Lenny, Keith, and all the folks that work there. Upper 60s today (not my score). As a single, they teamed me up with three fellows who were a pleasure to play with. Great dogs and burgers too! 27 holes.

Best Public Course Around
I absolutely love this course. Excellent course with amazing greens. The staff there is the main reason I love this course. Everyone is friendly and they are glad you are there. This is my "home" course and just love it. Challenging holes, new carts, and just a great golfing atmosphere!

Best greens around
Love the course, needs marshalls badly. Greens are top notch, tons of fun breaking putts, too. Fairways in good shape. Excellent bunkers that get raked daily apparently. Tee boxes were a little rough. Pace of play was horrible, no starter, complete free for all at the first tee. We had to play the front nine twice to speed up and finish all 18. 4:20 round because the first nine was that slow.

Played in the rain
Played in raining and the course was still playable. Greens are always excellent. Tee boxes were more worn than normal, but it’s winter so that’s expected. Favorite course in the area.

Always impressed
I have played here a few times over the last couple of years and I always leave saying, “I really like this course”. The course is always in great condition. The greens are well maintained and roll true. The course is challenging but fair. The staff is always friendly and the food is good as well. If it was closer to me it would be my main course.

Cat path
The course is very hilly so when we arrived we found out that it was cart path only. My foursome were men in their sixty’s and seventy’s go walking was rough. Wished I was told about that when I booked.

Greens are in great condition. Value wise, this course can't be beat in the Metro Atlanta area.
