About
Chicopee Woods Golf Course is a public, 27-hole layout in Gainesville. The course is tucked amongst the Appalachian foothills, giving it a scenic terrain of rolling hills. The holes are divided into three nines: the Village, the Mill, and the School, that are played in three different 18-hole combinations. Five sets of tees provide even more variety. The Village nine is the longest of the three and it's also the driest. There is only a small lake beside the second hole. That doesn't mean the golf course isn't challenging though, you'll still face several strategically placed bunkers. There are a few scattered trees but the course is mostly open and offers some room for error. In addition to the 27 holes, Chicopee Woods G.C. also has a driving range and chipping and putting greens.

Golf
Good golf course. Below Average pace of play. Would strongly approve of the Ranger finding the slow group and ask them to speed up. Rangers mainly ride around and do NOTHING. No excuse for 3 or even 4 groups on the same hole. Please find that one group and hustle them up.

Perfect January weather.
Came down from New Hampshire to play some golf with my brother. I couldn't ask for a staff that was more friendly and made me feel welcome. I wish I lived closer, I would play here all the time. Your course was challenging and fun, See you guys again next year.

It's winter, but Lenny & his staff keep this course in great shape
Enjoyed the course and pace of play was not too bad for a weekday. Good course & degree of difficulty is just right for mid teen handicapper. The staff is efficient & friendly and well managed! GREENS ARE IN DECENT SHAPE FOR THIS TIME OF YEAR

Worst Pace of Play Ever
Took us almost 5 1/2 hours to get around. Rangers are out there but not one does a thing, in fact one of them asked me "what do you want me to do about it" when I complained. People look for golf balls in the woods for 10-15 minutes, its horrible. No one rakes bunkers "nothing we can do" is the response for that too, just overall bad customer service. Its a fun course, and its in great shape, but if you need to be home on time...skip this one. And the clubhouse is great if you like 1970's look, feel and amenities. Come on man, dress the place up!

Nice round on a sunny January day
Played School/Village yesterday. Course in very good shape given last weeks snow and our recent cold temps. Ace of play was great finishing in 3:45.
