The 18-hole Laurel Island Links in Kingsland, Georgia is a public golf course that opened in 1996. Designed by Davis Love III, Laurel Island Links measures 7011 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 138 and a 74.8 USGA rating. The course features 4 sets of tees for different skill levels.
This design by PGA Tour player Davis Love III is quite remarkable. Laurel island resides on the banks of the vast Crooked River marsh that provides a stunning backdrop for holes two, three, and six.
The second nine roams inland working toward a secluded section of pine forest. The course is softly shaped and tinged in gentle southern atmosphere, opened in 1997. There is a light touch and quiet interaction with nature. You can play a beautiful, meditative golf at Laurel Island Links Laurel Island is approximately 25 minutes north of Jacksonville, FL. From Jacksonville take I-95 north to Georgia exit 6 and head east for two miles. Laurel Island Parkway will be on the left.

Love This Course
This is one of our favorite courses to play! Great course set up, beautiful surroundings and excellent staff.

Greens have some damage
Overall good shape, a few greens were rough and dead spots
Nice layout
Friendly atmosphere w. Course layout by Davis Love 111. It could play from hard to easy depending on tees chosen. Lots of roll because of hard ground and hot weather.
Several green had fungus issues but were maintained as well as they could be. The rest of the greens were in good shape. As with all courses right now the heat is a problem with keeping the fairways soft but staff was doing a good job keeping them watered.

Can’t beat it for the price and Course Condition of course. Layout is great. Greens are true.

Not what it use to be.
Truly love this course, but it surely is not what it used to be. With all the construction that has been going on, the course is not the focus anymore. There are fairways with major weed over growth. There are greens that are in need of some assistance. But the course is still very beautiful, show it a lil love and return it to its former glory. Also, the pace was a little sluggish. The seniors usually aren't worried about the pace of play.
Very pleasant golfing experience!
Laurel Island Landing golf course offers some beautiful marsh views and challenging shots. The staff is among the most friendly of any golf club I've seen. Prices are extremely affordable - I asked the guy to add a cart to the fee and he already had … I was shocked at how reasonable this course could be. Not rushed, just a pleasant, fun golf experience.
Affordable, fun and challenging!
Played this a few times. This is a forgiving course to beginners, but offers challenging hazards from the appropriate tee box. The heat is definitely keeping the greens keeper on his/her toes, 100 degrees out the day we played. But greens positively show the hard work that’s been put in over the last two years.

Staff was good and helpful, problem is the back 9 greens are shot. The winder rye has long since dies and the summer turf has not come back yet. The majority of the greens on the back 9 are hard packed dirt which will never hold a ball on approach. I think to help eliminate that the staff or starter should have told us that - this caused a lot of frustration.
Overall the course is a good layout.
Until the course gets those greens back I can not recommend this and will not return till that is fixed. One thing that will make or break a course is the condition of it's greens.
