There is a light touch and quiet interaction with nature. You can play a beautiful, meditative golf at Laurel Island Links Laurel Island is approximately 25 minutes north of Jacksonville, FL. From Jacksonville take I-95 north to Georgia exit 6 and head east for two miles. Laurel Island Parkway will be on the left.

Front vs back
The front nine fairways were in pretty good shape, but the back nine fairways had not been watered for some time.
Dried out ...grass needs cut...
Fairways were very hard and dry to the point of being yellow and dusty. Irrigation system may have been broken. Greens were slow and not consistent But at least they were mowed and didn’t look to bad. Grass / weeds around tees and many other places was in need of cutting. Some areas around the tees the grass / weeds was six inches tall . Bunkers not good. Bunkers don’t looked like they have been edged in years. Some bunkers you could not tell where it began because of grass encroachment .In general the course looked poorly maintained. Could be due to lack of money and or not enough employees. A few holes where marsh was in front of the tee box...was so overgrown that you could not see where to hit the ball. I like the layout of this course but it is in major need of general maintenance. ...simple stuff...like mow the grass... Maybe all the mowers are broken???
Good Game
I have seen courses in better shape, not bad but could use a bit of fertilizer and some water. Followed a foursome that was a little slow, but had a foursome of locals behind us that played from the red tees and was always pushing and hit into us a few times. We had no place to go. Never saw a marshal.
Amazing course
I love coming up here and playing. Every part is amazing. Don’t miss out
Worth the ride
It’s only a short 51 miles from my front door in Jacksonville to one of my new favorite courses.
The greens,, a little slow, but are in good shape overall as are the fairways and bunkers. Some outlining areas around a few of the greens have weeds and some bare spots. There are assorted tee boxes that offer various challenges which I liked. There are some water carry shots that get your attention. For me #6 and #18 were them.
I’m looking forward to getting back up there soon. Thanks to the Starter and Chip for being accommodating.
Great price for your money
Great place to play and course is in great shape, greens a little slow but in good shape
Getting better
These people are working on this place. Not that it needed it but they are making it better then it already is. From the first tee box to the 18 green. immaculate. Can’t wait to go back. Great staff, good eats.
A Great Day
Laurel Island Links was a total golf course that made
all our golfers day!!
From checking in, to a wonderful lunch after a great round of golf , everyone was professional and very nice.
An exceptional value for a day of golf.
Weather was perfect and can’t wait to return.
A growing favorite
Laurel Island is a beautiful, welcoming place with an interesting and enjoyable layout. Some holes are straightforward, but some are quite challenging, especially the 5 par around a large lake. The only criticism is the 3 par with a sludge bunker near a construction site. They could improve the course greatly by repairing that bunker, which has been in this horrid state for many months. There is lots of wildlife on the course, including lots of once-endangered woodstorks. We had to change tees for a great gaggle of geese with at least a dozen goslings taking over ours. There is a very good lunch room and bar in the clubhouse. Check it out!
Greens are in good shape
Pace of play excellent greens over seeded but reasonably fast. Great value for the money
Laurel links
This place is one of our favorite places to golf. The pace of play was slower then normal but only because there were golfers on every hole. Always see Gators and wild life. Staff is friendly. Course is in great shape, we can't wait to go back again. Thanks for a great day !!
Did not play - heavy rain.

Great Experience
I had 4 brothers come South for a reunion and golf. They did not bring their clubs and we had to find a course that would be able to provide 4 sets of rental clubs. Laurel Island Links was the first and only course that we needed to contact. George in the Pro Shop was extremely accommodating to our group and the hospitality extended to us was outstanding. Our first round was such a fantastic experience that we requested to play again two days later. And again we were accommodated by George and the entire staff. We also took advantage of having lunch in the restaurant which was a great experience. Even the members in the lounge were friendly and one member bought our group a drink. The course was in great shape, challenging and fun. The five of us cannot overstate the gratitude we have for the outstanding treatment we received by Laurel Island Links. If you get the chance to visit and play this outstanding facility and interact with George and the entire staff don't pass it up. Thank you.
Awesome Marsh views
Great course layout. Marsh views off second hole is one of the best.
