About
The 18-hole Laurel Island Links in Kingsland, Georgia is a public golf course that opened in 1996. The second nine roams inland working toward a secluded section of pine forest. The course is softly shaped and tinged in gentle southern atmosphere, opened in 1997. There is a light touch and quiet interaction with nature. You can play a beautiful, meditative golf at Laurel Island Links Laurel Island is approximately 25 minutes north of Jacksonville, FL. From Jacksonville take I-95 north to Georgia exit 6 and head east for two miles. Laurel Island Parkway will be on the left.

Great course #1
The course is well maintained and conditions were the best so far this year. The rains have still caused some access problems but didn't take away from the enjoyment. Young bucks still have problems with play that is slower than they like. We left a twosome through as they could not be held by us a slower foursome. That's the way golf should be played. If you have other important things to do you shouldn't be playing golf when the most of us seniors will play ready golf. We like to play but we don't like those that want to rush. Conduct here was great. Thanks and we will be back.
Great course
I was visiting family for the holiday weekend and played a round by myself. The starter put me out on the back 9 so I could play faster but I joined a twosome on the first hole and we had a great time. Joined a different twosome when I made it to the front and turned out to be a very enjoyable day on a beautiful course.
Why did I wait?
For a public course it was in good shape. Love the layout. Cant wait to play again
User Friendly and In great Condition
Course offers well maintained and wide fairways. Perfect greens with the tight amount of challenge.
New owner has made a lot of improvements
The new owner has put a lot of funds into the golf course itself. The course was in good shape, pace of play was good and carts were clean and well maintained. Not much stock in the Pro Shop. Grill room was not inviting, odd setup. No hot tea available on a very cold November morning. Starter was attentive but unable to answer questions regarding the course setup for the day.
Nice course for the average golfer
Very good condition. Very fair for average golfer. Wide fairways. Sand traps a little hard. Great staff in pro shop and outside help. Great price on the Golf Now App. Will surely return
Hard fairways
Excellent course except for how hard the ground is in the fairways.
Potential
Course has good layout. Conditions improving. Greens very slow and grainy. New owner brings a lot of hope. Could be a real gem.
Excellent Value
First time to play this course. My son and I were seeking refuge from Hurricane Michael as we live west of Tallahassee and were without power. We stayed in Fernandina beach. We were lucky to find this gem. We needed some fun after the trauma of the storm. The course was in great shape and staff was so friendly. Just what we needed.
With the drive fro Jax
Very enjoyable trip to Laurel Island Links. Course was in good shape and greens were nice. Will try it again. Great bang for the buck
Father and son first time
Took my son out for his first round of golf. He told me he was having the best time he'd ever had. Because my son had never played golf before, he had no clubs. The PRO Shop was able to hook us up with a set so he could play his first round.
The grille is a quaint little place that really gives you that "clubhouse" feel, coupled with some pretty good food and friendly staff.
In summary, there isn't much a person can find that would ruin a day at the Links.
Solid Choice
Laurel is always a solid go to round whether it be weekday or weekend. Staff is always courteous especially in the grill room. Golf is always good. Very playable track that offers it’s own unique challenges.
Watch your backside
Love the course. Always in good shape. As a “seasoned” golfer I play the whites on the front and greens on “backside”. Hate hitting 3 woods or laying up on long par. 19th hole is good and people are friendly
Sunday play
Course was in pretty good shape. Greens were slow from morning dew but sped up later in the morning. Could use more drinking water stations on the course. It was hot and high humidity even at 0707 tee time. Overall a good time and round. Will go back in the future.
