Laurel Island Links
About
The 18-hole Laurel Island Links in Kingsland, Georgia is a public golf course that opened in 1996. This design by PGA Tour player Davis Love III is quite remarkable. Laurel island resides on the banks of the vast Crooked River marsh that provides a stunning backdrop for holes two, three, and six.
The second nine roams inland working toward a secluded section of pine forest. The course is softly shaped and tinged in gentle southern atmosphere, opened in 1997. There is a light touch and quiet interaction with nature. You can play a beautiful, meditative golf at Laurel Island Links Laurel Island is approximately 25 minutes north of Jacksonville, FL. From Jacksonville take I-95 north to Georgia exit 6 and head east for two miles. Laurel Island Parkway will be on the left.

Scenic
Good layout. Ok fairways. Good greens (champions bermuda), Open with very few homes near the fairways. Friendly staff. A real bargin at twice the price.
Laurel islan
The course was in great shape . A few greens were burnt up but it looked like they were tryin to fix the problem and they still rolled good. I think we were pretty much the only ones on the course.. Great place friendly staff and great layout.. I drive 45 min to play this course and will definitely be doin it again
great day in the sun
Beautiful location and course. Pretty difficult with lots of water. I would play it a lot more it was closer to home.
Excellent condition
Course was in great condition. Not very crowded, able to play in less than 4 hrs.
Worth drive from Jacksonville?
Overall good experience. Good shape. Played blues, not tips. Course in good shape; some interesting holes within this golf community, but some holes very similar to each other. Greens were slow.
Nasty flies with wings along more front nine wooded holes.
Coulda had a assistant out front for curb club unloading, and welcoming. Didnt know there was a starter til I got to first hole so didnt know til I got there where I stood with my tee time.
GREAT COURSE
Tee boxes, fairways, greens and bunkers all in near perfect condition. Well worth the drive from Jacksonville.
Good day
Everyting was great only thing that was neg grounds crew did not move out of path on a couple holes. Clubhouse cree were great. Will do it again
Favorite go to
Favorite go to course that is well worth the hour drive from Jacksonville. The views, pace of play, and conditions are second to none.
Fun round!
Got an outstanding rate on GolfNow. Very worth it. Course in good shape, greens fast; but like a spring board. Couldn't leave a ball marke and balls the bounded away.
Wish I Could Play it More
Delightful layout--WYSIWYG. Greens were in excellent shape for a public course. Delayed nearly 30 minutes, but after 6 holes pace picked up.
If I lived in the area, I'd play here often. Was also a great value!!
A diamond in the rough
What a nice surprise this was a great corse I was traveling home going back north stop in Kingsland and played it I will do this again I hope many times
Nice Saturday Afternoon
Two of us teed off at 1:37 Saturday trying to beat the rain and we did for 15 holes. After a 30 min rain delay, we finished up. Played behind a 5-some, but they moved along pretty well. Course is in fantastic shape for early April. Fairways are generous, bunkers have nice sand, greens were plush and a little slow. Even with the rain, it was a great afternoon. The guy at the pro shop was very courteous.
Course in great condition
This course is a "must" for golfers who enjoy wide fairways that are well groomed. Hit it straight and bunkers not an issue.
The greens are large and the the breaks can surprise you
Overall good experience
The course was very playable and still was challenging in its length. Great scenery. Greens wouldn't hold real well but maybe because of the time of year. I really enjoyed it, good value
Another Pleasant Round
We have played Laurel Island numerous times over the past decade and have always enjoyed it. The layout is eye-pleasing and challenging and each of the holes quite unique. The greens were in excellent condition this year as were the fairways and tee-boxes. Laurel Island has a very good range and practice green, making it a first-class facility in every way. Well worth the visit.
DocTom54
Great greens but not very fast the day we played. Course is not a complex one, fairly straight forward. Course is in very good shape esp for early march.
Grreat Layout
Always like playing at Laurel. Nice layout and good shape this time out. Pace of play was quite slow this round but still a good time.
Great layout
The course is great. It has been a few years since i've played there because they took it off of Golfnow.com. Now that it is back and the public is allowed we took advantage and made the drive up from Jacksonville. It is a beautiful course that is always in good shape. Tree lined fairways and a few glimpses of the intracoastal make it all the better. The greens are in great shape but aren't real fast. They were running around a 9 according to the pro shop.
great greens
Windy at the time
user friendly layout, friendly staff [, cart girl, proshop & restaurant ]
overall good experience
Very nice layout
Our first, and hopefully not last, time playing Laurel Island Links. Nice wide fairways, well maintained bunkers and lovely greens are what you'll find. A very welcoming proshop and excellent pratice putting green was a great way to get us going.
We think all levels of golfers would really enjoy this course.
