The 18-hole Laurel Island Links in Kingsland, Georgia is a public golf course that opened in 1996. Designed by Davis Love III, Laurel Island Links measures 7011 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 138 and a 74.8 USGA rating. The course features 4 sets of tees for different skill levels.
This design by PGA Tour player Davis Love III is quite remarkable. Laurel island resides on the banks of the vast Crooked River marsh that provides a stunning backdrop for holes two, three, and six.
The second nine roams inland working toward a secluded section of pine forest. The course is softly shaped and tinged in gentle southern atmosphere, opened in 1997. There is a light touch and quiet interaction with nature. You can play a beautiful, meditative golf at Laurel Island Links Laurel Island is approximately 25 minutes north of Jacksonville, FL. From Jacksonville take I-95 north to Georgia exit 6 and head east for two miles. Laurel Island Parkway will be on the left.

Great Course
Laurel Links is a great gem. The course and staff are fantastic
Needs work
Greens are in rough shape. Fairways and tee boxes are okay, greens are bad.
Great time
I had a 7:30 tee time so that I could get back to family for vacation. The staff was friendly and the course was in fine shape. I enjoyed it and will be back next year when we come to the low country for vacation
Great Course. Great Value.
We had a great time playing Laurel Island Links. The course was in good condition and the staff was very friendly. It was my son's first time playing golf so I was thankful that we were not rushed. There were not any groups behind us, so the ranger allowed us to take our time. The prices at the restaurant were a bit high for lunch, but other than that everything was great.

The course was in decent condition. Fairways was in great shape. Some greens were bumpy and needed some love. Overall, the conditions after the consistent rains and heat are fair.

Great course layout and very pretty from an optical perspective. The tees and fairways were in great shape. Unfortunately the greens are less than optimal. Fix the greens and this course would be an 8 or 9.
Courteous Pro Shop Staff
Pro shop staff was very courteous and welcoming. We enjoyed our 2nd time out on this course while visiting our kids from Bunker Hill, WV.
Love the layout
Pace of play and layout of the course were fine. Staff wasn’t overly friendly and the greens were generally not good. I’d play it again but it’s not the best course around.

Excellent course layout & value for money
Compared to another local course (Fernandina Beach 30 mins away) Laurel Island Links was a great improvement. Very friendly & helpful pro, good standard (although not high end) rental clubs (Top Flite mens & ladies), very good course condition and interesting layout. They were both the same cost - but for me, dont waste your time at Fernandina Beach (see other review).
One area of improvement would be the clubhouse and pro shop both of which need some investment -but the course is A and the staff are super nice.
