Mystery Valley Golf Club

This is very much the kind of course I enjoy playing. It has a relatively open layout, though there are still plenty of holes where you need to know your target off the tee. It appears in their recent greens renovation they also removed several bunkers around the greens, which I actually think was probably a good idea. The pin placements were tough enough as it was. I'm looking forward to seeing this course in the spring/summer when the grass is green and the trees are in bloom, I imagine it will be very pretty. The new greens were nice but much too slow. Downhill putts were stopping before the hole, even with a solid hit, I really think they need to speed them up. The chipping and putting practice areas were a bit small, but did the job. The clubhouse is cute and prices for food and drink seemed reasonable. Friendly staff. I will definitely be coming back.

It will be interesting to see how the course will look in Spring. New greens.. Can’t really judge fall/winter golf!

Played Mystery Valley for the first time in several months. It's one of my favorite public courses on the east side of Atlanta because it's inexpensive, usually in decent shape, it's a very playable layout (not gimmicky like some of its neighbors), and you can get around in under 5 hours, even on a busy day (4:15 today with a beginner in our group and nobody pushing us).

It was a cold, drizzly day with a little bit of wind.

When I checked in, the team was very friendly and they told me that the greens and bunkers had all been re-done. Here's my take: the greens are in amazing shape! They putted true, although the speeds were inconsistent (probably weather related). I only played out of one bunker, but it was perfect even in wet conditions. (Note: In the past I would drop out of their bunkers because they were often unplayable.)

The fairways are dormant but still in great shape, as always.

The practice facility isn't amazing, but it's just right if all you need is a warm up before your round. Driving range had mats (because of the rain?), the chipping and putting greens were in good shape (just a little small if you have a full day).

The grill was open for the first time in my experience. Nothing fancy but the chicken fingers and fries were hot and good. We called in an order after #8 and it was ready at the turn.

Great job, Mystery Valley. I love what you've done with the place. We'll be back soon.

They have new greens which are great. Fairways were good. Only real problem I had with the course 1as the rough was so deep sometimes I could not find my ball. Even just a foot or 2 in the rough.

16-17 greens almost un puttable..send the cart guy out to blow off the greens in the afternoon geez..help a brother out...

Played this course a few times with some buddies of mine. This is one of our favorite courses to play

It was my first time at MVGC in over 6 years and drastically improved bs my last trip. The greens were recently redone and it made for a great round.. with time, this will be come a top Muni in ATL.

My great experience started with the front office staff, the gentleman was polite, pleasant and courteous. Great way to start the day. I took my wife out to play for her birthday. We had no one in front of us or pushing us the entire day, tee’d off at 10am.

The course is in excellent shape, greens are super and even the bunkers had great sand, luckily I didn’t have to play from them.

We had a great day and look forward to playing here more often. Keep up the great work Dekalb!

Good condition all the way around, but jeez, fire the guy that mows the greens, greens are circular for a reason, don't be so lazy, make the green a circle with your cut, don't just pick up your blades and go back n forth. The couse is in to good a shape for that bs.Take some pride in your work.

Fairway in good condition, almost all the greens are in great shape and the tee boxes need a little work. Overall, it is a pretty decent course to play and would recommend.
