About
Mystery Valley Golf Club encompasses 230 acres of gently rolling land that ranges from dense forests of towering Georgia pines to grassy meadows covered in acres of colorful wildflowers. Mystery Valley is known for both the beautiful scenery on the course itself and the stunning views from the elevated tees. There are two lakes and a pond that dot the course, coming into play on three holes. At just over 6,700 yards, the layout features some long holes but it will also test your short game with strategically placed bunkers around the fast, medium-sized greens. There is an interesting variety of holes including several winding par 5s and the watery and treacherous 15th hole, which is considered one of Atlanta's most challenging par 4s. The more challenging elements of Mystery Valley Golf Club are balanced by the generous, player-friendly fairways.

Golfer Reviews
Great day
Got paired up with a twosome of similar skill level. Played from the whites, but moved up a couple times when we felt the whites were too far back. Course was in pretty fair condition, considering winter play and recent rain. Had a great day.
Greens coming along well
I played here about a year ago right before they replaced the greens. The new greens look for overall with a few still having some patch spots. They need to get some of the tee boxes in better shape. Staff is friendly, course layout is fun. I'll continue to play here on a regular basis.
We appreciate you taking the time to review the course and rate us. Thank you for the 4 stars! We aim for a 5-star experience, so we always welcome feedback for improvement. Thank you for playing Mystery Valley Golf Club.
Greens Suck
Amazing that the greens are this poor, considering that they renovated them just last year. Yes they needed mowing and smoothing, but worse was all the bare spots.
Tee times were “spaced” 5 minutes apart. We were waiting on the twosome ahead of us on almost every shot.
If you plan to walk the course or qualify for the senior rate, do not use Golf Now. They won’t give you the walker’s rate unless you use their web site or call. Or maybe they will. I guess it depends on who’s running the cash register that moment? I didn’t get the rate, but my buddy did.

Excellent time - consider myself a frequent visitor
Greens= very good shape
Tee Boxes = they need some work
Fairways = very good shape
Pace = Excellent
Sand Bunker = good sand and drain well
Clubhouse personnel = very friendly and helpful
Laughable course
Fine layout. Decent conditions. Terrible pace of play. I’m 3 1/2 hours into a round and we are on the hole 12 tee. No ranger to move play along.
Nice public course
The staff are great and very friendly and the course is nice with excellent greens. I was on my own and everyone I caught up with let me play thru - great etiquette. I would play here again
Blow the Darn Greens...
Everything is really good. BUT 15-16-17 pick up a lot of debris on the greens. you have got to send someone out a few times a day, almost once an hour on a windy day..17 green was unplayable due to debris on the green. you're better than this, it really slows play if i have to spend unnecessary time to clean up the green...

Solid course for the average golfer
This is very much the kind of course I enjoy playing. It has a relatively open layout, though there are still plenty of holes where you need to know your target off the tee. It appears in their recent greens renovation they also removed several bunkers around the greens, which I actually think was probably a good idea. The pin placements were tough enough as it was. I'm looking forward to seeing this course in the spring/summer when the grass is green and the trees are in bloom, I imagine it will be very pretty. The new greens were nice but much too slow. Downhill putts were stopping before the hole, even with a solid hit, I really think they need to speed them up. The chipping and putting practice areas were a bit small, but did the job. The clubhouse is cute and prices for food and drink seemed reasonable. Friendly staff. I will definitely be coming back.
Thanks so much for the great review. We look forward to welcoming you back to our course soon. Thanks for choosing Mystery Valley Golf Club.
Enjoyed Round
It will be interesting to see how the course will look in Spring. New greens.. Can’t really judge fall/winter golf!
