Mystery Valley Golf Club

Really nice layout with challenging holes. The staff was friendly and helpful. I didn't play my best golf and I would like to play it again.

The course was in good shape for this time a year. I played with my wife and she said it was a long course for ladies . But overall it was a nice day on the golf course .

I have played the course many times and I enjoy playing there. We will return for we enjoy the course.

I've always enjoyed this course. It has a great layout and is challenging. One of my favorite features were the greens.........they were awful. Had to move our ball position numerous times to get a smooth path to the hole.

Course in good condition. Some of the greens were a little bumpy but overall good condition

The greens have some type of fungus or blight which is causing patches of bare ground. This makes putting unpredictable.one water station was empty.

The weather was excellent, course not in great shape but very playable, had a few holes where the greens need some work from the summer season, but for the most part playable. Need to blow some leaves all over the course. Would like to see a Marshall pushing the pace a little more especially at the starting holes, things open up later.

5 1/2 hour round. The greens are absolutely deplorable.

I always enjoy mystery valley. Great layout and pace of play during the week. Currently greens on 4 or 5 holes are "recovering" from the summer I assume. They did add sand to a few patchy spots but still not rolling like that have in the past. Bunkers need some LOVE...very little actual sand leaving most lies difficult to properly attack with open club face. All in all, still always a great option on the east side of Atlanta.

I have played Mystery Valley consistently over the last 5 yrs and unfortunately the heat stressed greens are the worst I've seen. Some greens are almost unplayable and I am not sure they will recover this year. Otherwise the course is in great condition and I love the layout but the condition of the greens make it much less enjoyable.

The course had just punched the greens for the fall so if you are a horrible of a putter as I am it gives a great excuse for 4ft "gimmes". I also played the tips which has great views and the course contour slightly resembles Augusta National as least from what I've seen on TV. There are a lot of elevation changes and uneven lies. Was a nice challenge from my usual courses back home.

We have played this course many times over many years and will continue to do so in the future. However, in spite of the fact that it had been 2 1/2 weeks since they aerated the greens, few were in reasonable shape. We booked the reservation after checking with the pro shop and were told that most of greens had healed very well. They should have said a "couple", not most. Some greens were effectively "un-puttable". Golfers should stay away for at least another month. We ended up paying about twice what the round was worth.

I've played Mystery Valley numerous times over the last 10 years but can't recall the greens ever being in this poor a condition. I understand we've had extreme temperatures this year, not enough rain, etc. but the other courses in the metro ATL seem to deal with it. You either have to charge less money or fix the greens just that simple. I won't be back unless one of those two things happen.

Mystery Valley is buetifully designed golf course in Lithonia Georgia. As you head to the pro shop you will ride through a few holes. The course in designed wonderfully and the layout is buetifully. The day my group of four played we were created by a friendly Marshall to get us started. The first hole the par 5 is a great challenging start followed by the tough par 3. The par four fourth hole is a great challenge with water placed on the left side of the fairway. The rest of the course was buetifully designed especially the par 4 14th which overlooks stone mountain. Also the par 3 16th is a great hole. 18 is one of my favorite holes. From start to finish the course was in good shape and is a challenge to all golfers.

The fairways were in good shape considering how little rain the area has had. The greens were in very poor condition, no way to make a putt. The bunkers are racked red clay. The folks in the club house were not helpful (out right rude) when we encountered a situation between 17 and 18 and brought it to their attention. I would strongly recommend that this course not be played by average to good golfers. It was not worth the $13 hot deal.

Very disappointed in the greens condition. Several years ago this course was our groups favorite; however the current condition will keep us from going back until we read reviews where corrections have been made. The "greens being distressed" made the round terrible. Additional, as the fairways were being cut but huge piles of "cut grass" remained piled up along the fairways. Not sure if the blades needed to be sharpened or they waited too long to cut the fairways. Sounds minor but was a negative for sure.

greens were heat stressed. Otherwise the experience was fine
