Not sure if there is new management, but the course is by far the worst I have ever seen it. Had always been a solid course to play, but after yesterday, I definitely could not say that!

The greens on the front 9 need replacing. They are diseased and lots of bare spots. It would help greatly if they were rolled occasionally. The ball was bouncing too much and it affected the putts. I won't go back till the greens are fixed. Some bunkers need sand and rocks removed. The tee boxes and fairways are in excellent shape. The course is fun and challenging.

Greens were not in good condition and the grass was too high in the roughs. Lost several balls because got tired of looking for them in areas where you would normally find them easily.

This is the 2nd time I played here. Our group played from the tips. The fairways were in good condition, but the rough was more challenging than expected. Thick in spots, but deep and fluffy in others, where it made finding tee shots and some 2nd shots hard to find even on decent tee shots that just rolled in. So a few lost balls on shots that shouldn't have been,a and of course the pace was slowed with the search party needed to help find them. There was also some big patches of cut grass piled up in spots which didn't help. If you stayed in the fairway it was a different day for you. The greens were receptive and rolled nice, however the traps were very inconsistent, and not raked.

I have played here a lot but the conditions were not up to usual quality. Could be do to the hottest July ever. Price was excellent and the course was very playa le but there were a few too many weeds and the bunkers were not groomed amd Terri L. Greens were solid but not awesome.

Layout great, crazy lies, elevation changes, mix of trees & water everywhere. And the buck stops here! Greens were diseased & patchy, your ball lie rally jumps it's wash to the cup as it hits bump after bump after bump. Fairways were a mix of weeds, dandelions, & red clay. Bunkers rock solid... Maybe because they were full of rocks. This course is a classic case of getting what you pay for, see a deal at $25 think twice, pay the extra $10, $15 & go somewhere that's worth it...

First time playing this course but I was impressed with fairways, greens and sanddtrap conditions. Course was very challenging to me because of elevation of greens, bunker placement and rough areas around fairways. Looking forward to playing it again.

Loved the layout and was surprised that I haven't played this course ever. Very southern with lots of pine trees, very playable if you miss left or right. Loved the friendliness of the staff. Will definitely be playing this course more reularly.

I have played this course many times over the years and as usual, I truly enjoyed the round. With the exception of patrons failing to repair ball marks on the greens, the course was in great shape.

The course is in good condition. It has soft greens, but it has lots of ball marks on the greens.

The golf course was in good condition. Some spots in the fairway needed to be cut a little bit lower, but otherwise the course was good. The greens are rather fast especially as the day got hotter and the greens dried out. The bunkers need sand. Almost every hole has some sort of elevation change. It may have been the tee box elevated above the fairway or the fairway above the green. Very nice scenery.

Can't believe I've never played this course before and I am a county resident. It is definitely off the beaten path in Dekalb county. I played in the middle of the day in the middle of the week and the course was decently busy. I was a single, but pace was great even when I ran into two foursomes on the back nine. I still finished in a little over 3 hours.

I was very impressed with the overall condition of the course. The greens were in great shape and true. My only critique were the bunkers. These aren't really sand traps. More like compacted dirt than has been raked over. I can get out of sand traps, but it took me a couple of errant shots to learn to stay out of these things.

In the Atlanta area as far as municipal courses I would compare it to Bobby Jones. However Mystery Valley is a lot better in my opinion. It is more challenging (a lot more hills) and in better overall condition. Definitely a better value for your money. I

f you are looking for clubhouse amenities look elsewhere... this is a municipal course. If you want to play some moderately challenging golf, on a well maintained course and on a budget then Mystery Valley is it.

I love everything about Mystery Valley...I have been playing the course since 1971...I think the layout is super...Great Par 5's...Tough par 3's...and very good par 4's...It seems many holes go uphill from tee and downhill to green and vise a versa...My favorite holes are the par 4 15th...the Par 5 7th...and the par 3 11th...

I don't live in Georgia...But I usually get down there once a year...Wife's family all live in Georgia...

Also love the tee shot over the water on the par 5 10th hole...Extremely scenic...Love the drive into the club house from the street...

Great Course 4 the Price Just Need to Put FRESH Water in the Ball Washers. Either Empty or Water is Old & Smells. I've Played 4 Times in Last Month & have Asked about this.

Lots of variety don't expect much in the way of amenities but the course is fun and can challenge you. Worth playing.
