Fairways Country Club

Just got down from lake Clear ny. Played three times, these greens were the best so far. It plays longer than the yardage. A nice day

First off, there was no one at the front gate, no one answering the phone at the office from the gate phone, I was getting pretty frustrated. A person finally walked up and punched in a code and let me in. Don't know if he was the guard at the shack or someone mercifully helping me out. The community is a mobile home park which lowers your expectations as you approach the course, the course sort of surprised me. It had decent length playing from the blues, had some trouble you had to avoid, and the greens were pretty fast. Most lies around the greens were tight which for me made chipping tough. The price was very low which made it a great deal. I would go back if I was having difficulty finding a more aesthetically pleasing course in my value minded price range.

Course is not a bad layout. Plenty of challenging spots to force layups, turns, and narrow for accuracy.

No real staff. It’s one person at a window.

Entry into course is through a gated community. We had a 7:30am tee time. Tried to get there early to warm up and course did not open until 7:00am.

Unable to get through gate until course was open and even then no one answered the phone to open the gate.

Would not recommend a morning teetime.

The course is a challenge your going to lose some golf balls.the wild life is amazing.bird or all kinds turtles,ducks..love playing there.

Nice layout but very narrow. Water in play on like 14 of 18 holes. Course is not really long but requires you to be real accurate. Either water on one side or another - or houses. Pace was slow due to kids in front of us playing two off every tee box. If you hit into water, go to drop zone - don’t shoot 2nd into same pond you couldn’t clear before ?!?

If you have a good straight shot, this is a fun course to play.

Vacationing with our youngest grandkids and found this little jewel to play. It was a great course for our youngest grandson (6) to learn a little more about playing golf. We had a great time and enjoyed the time outside.

Friendly staff, but pace of play is slow. Caught up to a group of six that was three tee times ahead of us, who wouldn’t let us play through. But, there’s worst ways to spend $23. Good days of golf, minus the jerks ahead of us.

Love playing at fairways. Conditions are almost always great (unless it rained the night before) and the price is very fair.

Came across this course looking for someplace new to try. What a fun course. Not long but very tight with a premium on accuracy. Fairways are in good shape. Tees are good too. The greens are small but very receptive and in great shape. They are fast too. Water is in play on most of the holes. Overall this course is absolutely worth a try.
