Fairways Country Club
About
The golf course at Fairways Country Club is a short course but it is quite unforgiving. Water hazards come into play on fifteen of the eighteen holes of the course. The greens are small and tight and they are in excellent condition. There are also strategically placed bunkers situated throughout as well for extra challenge. The signature hole of the course is the par-5 5th hole, which has water on both sides of the fairway and it also runs across it 100 yards from the green. The course has three sets of teeboxes to accommodate different abilities and handicaps.

It was quite wet but we knew that going in and were reminded at pro shop that a rain check was available if it was too wet. Very quick pace of play and greens were in pretty good shape especially considering the rain we've had.
Rain rain rain
Course is usually always in good shape. But the rains came through late afternoon and put this course pretty much under water!
Nickels & Dimes
Fairways is by far my favorite place to play in a Orlando when it comes to PACE OF PLAY and COURSE LAYOUT, but they will nickel and dime you for every little thing once you’re there.
Please reach out to me at info@golffairwayscc.com to further discuss these concerns.
We pride ourselves on offering the best value for the money in all of Orlando. Our greens fees are lower than any course within 30 miles, our bottled water is $1, bottled Gatorade and soda is 2 for $4, candy and prepackaged snacks are $1.50, tall boy beers are 2 for $4, and golf balls starting for less than $1 per ball. We are always looking to improve so if you wouldn't mind expressing your concerns to the email above, we will absolutely make it right moving forward.
Thank you for playing and for your review, we strive to make every experience perfect so when it falls below our expectations, we definitely appreciate the constructive criticism. Just let us know and we'll absolutely make it right for you!
Water
low lands kind of course.
Lots of soggy ground.
Mother natures fault.
Thank you for your review! We appreciate your understanding while we get through this rainy weather! We hope you join us again soon.
Never Again
Absolutely never going back to this course again, even if it was the only course in town. I’d drive to the next town just so I wouldn’t have to go to this terrible course ever again. Enjoy the locals, they really like having you there, NOT.
Thank you for your review. We take your opinions seriously, and are constantly looking to improve the customer experience. Please feel free to reach out to us at info@golffairwayscc.com to discuss your concerns further.
Liked my time there
It was a good course. Definitely underrated in my opinion. There was no one there which was good, didn’t have to feel like you had to rush every shot. If you’re wanting a good price friendly course, this is good. If you’re wanting something high end, I would say go with something else.
Thank you so much for your review, Isaac! We are happy to see you enjoyed our course. We value your feedback, and hope to see you back in the future.
I used to play here regularly
Due to covid19, I have only played twice in the last 5 months...both at the Fairways. Precovid I probably played here 10-12 times a year. It is a tight course with lakes and water in canals on 15 of the holes...accuracy is way more important than distance as many of the fairways are narrow and the greens relatively small on some holes. In the heat of the afternoon, I did not even see another golfer while I was playing so got around in about 2 hours. There are no wind sheilds on the carts so that is a big problem during storms. The course is good for beginners or average players...big time players who play the expensive courses probably would not like it.

Great for the money! Cheap beers and fast greens in good shape. Enjoyed ourselves thoroughly.

A Quite Challenging Layout
I'm 71, retired, and play once weekly with a work buddy who's a bit younger and not yet retired. We play courses that are local and not too long as neither of us has the distance we once had. This course is only about 5300 yards long but it is definitely quite challenging. It's routed through a manufactured home senior and retiree community and the fairways could use some drainage reworking as in the hot, rainy Florida summer some areas have the consistency of a soaked sponge, lots of casual water. When things dry out in the fall through spring, you can get a lot more roll on shots but summer and the lack of drainage on some fairways will stop your shot quickly. Oddly enough, no matter how much it rains, the greens drain really well and are very quick all 4 seasons of the year. Putting can be quite adventurous as a straight in putt is something you may not see on any hole; par is an excellent score. There are a lot of water hazards and the woods along some holes are thick, so if you have trouble keeping your shots straight, bring enough golf balls. Due to soggy fairways on some holes, many play as cart path only so beware where the path is routed.
Off course amenities are virtually nonexistent at this time: the course was closed for 6 weeks or so when the Covid pandemic was announced and the clubhouse is closed except for the window that the clubhouse clerk opens when you check in and pay. You can buy a soft drink or beer, but there is no cart girl so be sure to either bring or buy sufficient drinks for staying hydrated. The pace of play is usually pretty quick since traffic here is minimal. But, all in all, it's a fair test for the price. I'm just waiting for the fall when it will be not so unbearably hot.

Good value
For the price it was fantastic. Many holes seemed similar in distance and difficulty. Well kept greens even after a day of heavy rain.

condition
greens were in much better condition, fairways cut and green.

This
This course charges each player $10.00 extra for social distancing even though you've paid for greens fee and cart online. Needless to say, I won't be playing there anymore.
Thank you for playing, we appreciate your business. We try to be as transparent as possible with our cart procedures throughout the tee time booking process. We also attempt to accommodate all request without charging a surcharge if the demand for play allows. We are happy that we were able to accommodate your request and everyone else that day without charging the surcharge as we had extra carts available. The procedure is in place so we can accommodate all players with golf cart usage.
We recommend calling the Pro Shop prior to your round and letting us know your preference of a single rider cart. We will communicate whether we will have to charge the surcharge for the day you booked.
Stay safe!
Fairways is always fun, but due to heavy showers everyday the holes and fairways were boggy and waterlogged. Will play again after rainy season is over. Still had a great social distancing day with my wife.
