Fairways Country Club
About
The golf course at Fairways Country Club is a short course but it is quite unforgiving. Water hazards come into play on fifteen of the eighteen holes of the course. The greens are small and tight and they are in excellent condition. There are also strategically placed bunkers situated throughout as well for extra challenge. The signature hole of the course is the par-5 5th hole, which has water on both sides of the fairway and it also runs across it 100 yards from the green. The course has three sets of teeboxes to accommodate different abilities and handicaps.

Short but interesting and worth a try
This course is certainly short by today's standards, but ideal for seniors. It requires accuracy and has fairly small greens, multiple water hazards and wooded areas. Course conditions are good for the most part (tees and greens), and our morning round took just over 3 hours with 3 groups on the 1st tee. I found it to be fair, fun, and worth playing.
Next to one tee on the back 9, a group of about 15 large turtles came up to the edge of the water looking for handouts.
nice course
The only thing I did not like at all was I can from Melbourne and had a 7:00 tee time. Not open. No one there till 7:10. Drove 60 mile to get there on time, left at 5:15 AM, got there 6:30 NOT OPEN. After I got over this I had a good time.
Water everywhere
Played from the back tees...still a short course. Most lateral water I've ever seen plus several holes where you had to carry 220+ to get to the fairway when playing back tees which we did. Lots of low brush along edges of rough not marked as lateral hazard resulting in unplayably lies. Palm trees that eat golf balls.
The uniqueness of this course is the 15" cups.
Wet Day
I played alone. I had the course to myself only two other golfers on the course. The fairways were in very good shape and the greens were excellent. I first played in a light drizzle at first, then cleared up for the rest of my round.
I have only two complaints, the carts could be kept in better condition. I had the only cart with a full windshield, and there is no 19th hole, there was a nice little restaurant but they have closed it.
but they closed it.
great course
The course is wide open, nicely maintained, and a quick round to play. Staff is friendly. I plan on playing additional rounds here.
Good day slalsh nice course splash!
Nobody pushing or holding us up. Well kept and built in a community of friendly people who understand how golf balls end up on their property when they live on a golf course
Bunkers varied but none were true sand
Great Day outside
I love playing this course. Everyone is super friendly. The course is pretty easy. It always looks good!
Plays harder than it looks. Friendly staff!
The course plays harder than it looks...particularly in the wind. Very good course for the price. Very friendly staff.
Nice little course
Certainly not a five star place, but if you're looking for a quick round at a value price, Fairways is a great option. Greens are slow, but in fair condition and the fairways are a bit rough in spots. Layout is short, but tight, forcing many players to sacrifice distance for accuracy if they're wise. Back nine is quite picturesque, but don't hit a house-the senior residents love to admonish those who rattle their tin roofs with wayward shots.
Fairways is a great value
We played the Fairways - the Greens were great nothing else can be said. The fairways of most holes needs improvement but overall the experience was exceptional. Tie this together with 22.00 green fees at this time of year in Orlando and its a very good deal indeed.
I'll be back !!
Nice little course
Enjoyed the afternoon and it was a good value for the price we paid. I would certainly play there again
Good Value
Excellent course for moderately skilled couples as long as price stays reasonable. Good fun to play.
Good little course
Had a blast. Finished round in 3.5 hours. The over seeded the greens and they were a little long, they were very slow. However, for the price it's hard to beat. It was fun and I'll be back next week!!
Bring bread for the turtles
Good overall course. Back nine a bit soggy but it had rained the day before.
Great Greens
Fairways has definitely put time and money into their greens. Additional changes to the tee boxes and landscaping were well done. Fairways still need a bit of work. Great to see improvements.
No carts, long wait
Maybe it was a bad day but when we checked in for our tee time, we were told that there were no carts available. They said they would have one to us as soon as possible. There was no staff helping in this regard so it turned into all of those waiting were stalking players who were finishing to get grab their cart. Quite a mess and about a 45 minute delay teeing off. Back 9 is much better than the front 9.
Price spike
I haven't been back since they elevated their costs per round. I used to play on the same conditioned course for alot less. I enjoyed the drive out there because it was not too busy and the value was good. Mobile home courses are generally the same. This one needed lots of attention and got it over time. It is not as pleasant but clean as you would expect. There are better courses for the same value that are closer to home. Good luck.
Cheap course
This is a very cheap course, but still not a great bargain. Fairways and greens have crab grass and the bunkers are dirt. Short course though if you are looking for a low round.
OK for the price.
Greens were a little 'shaggy', ...but enjoyed the day.
I just played the other day and they got new carts! Windshields and rain covers.
