About
The 27-hole course at Schaumburg Golf Club is divided into three nines that are played in different 18-hole combinations that range from just over 6,000 yards to 6,700 yards. The Tournament, Baer, and Players Courses all provide a unique set of challenges but they share the same great conditions on their tees, greens, and fairways. Schaumburg has been host to numerous events since opening in 1928, including the U.S. Open Qualifying and Illinois Open Qualifying tournaments. It is a popular course since the club offers country club amenities and quality with the affordability of a public golf course. Schaumburg's Players/Baer combination starts out with a few tricky carries over water on the front nine and a more forgiving back nine. There are strategically placed bunkers throughout the course, however.

Fast Greens and Good Times
Shaumburg Golf Club has become a favorite for me and my wife. the Stone or Back Tees provide a reasonable challenge while her Cedar Tees allow her to play on pace with anyone playing any other tee.
What I find most impressive at Shaumburg is the consistency. Every time we play we get quality tee boxes, well groomed fairways, excellent bunker conditions, and reliable, consistent green speeds.
You can't ask for much more.
If there were one issue, the rough is not so consistent. That's fine, but finding your ball can be a challenge at times even when you know where you hit it. I actually like that the rough is so penal however it can affect pace of play to some degree if multiple people in your foursome are missing the fairway.
Staff is always friendly and accommodating but the masks and plexi make it very difficult to communicate and never seeing a smile really has a way of sucking the warmth and charm out of an otherwise pleasant experience. I do look forward to the days when masks are optional.

Played 9, Looking forward to 18 sometime
This was my first time playing this course and I played 9 on the Baer. It was a very nice course and well maintained. Each cart has a rangefinder, which was nice. Staff maintained and pushed a good pace of play. The course is pretty tight with 27 holes on a patch of land in the middle of the burbs, yet still pretty beautiful and challenging, with some tough greens. I look forward to a full 18.
There wasn’t a starter so I begun my round on the wrong 9. Corrected my error after the 2nd hole. Course is in great shape, other patrons were friendly. Pass of play was good. More of a country club vibe. Range was into the wind. Over a quick nine at twilight, left me wanting more
Excellent Course
Schaumburg GC is a wonderful facility; the renovated courses are in great shape, with beautiful white sand bunkers and well maintained greens. The Clubhouse, facilities and staff are great. Well worth the effort to play.
