About
The 27-hole course at Schaumburg Golf Club is divided into three nines that are played in different 18-hole combinations that range from just over 6,000 yards to 6,700 yards. The Tournament, Baer, and Players Courses all provide a unique set of challenges but they share the same great conditions on their tees, greens, and fairways. Schaumburg has been host to numerous events since opening in 1928, including the U.S. Open Qualifying and Illinois Open Qualifying tournaments. It is a popular course since the club offers country club amenities and quality with the affordability of a public golf course. Schaumburg's Players/Baer combination starts out with a few tricky carries over water on the front nine and a more forgiving back nine. There are strategically placed bunkers throughout the course, however.

Great course for any price.
This is one of the better courses in the area. Maintained almost flawlessly. Greens were mint. Fairways and sand were tough to navigate. Plenty of water and holes laid out at good distances to make getting on in regulation challenging. Enjoyed playing this course. Will deffinitely be back.
Will be back...
This course can play play slow at times but today was much better. We finished in 3:35. Back side slowed down. Course in very good shape, greens pretty good. Very good value at a last minute $20.

Overrated
Course was in good condition except a few of the first couple greens were not in great shape. I was expecting this course to be a bit nicer because of how much the price usually is. I would go back, but there are other courses that are just as nice, and easier to find at a cheaper price.

sporty course
three nines.Different combinations of 18 and nine holes.Well maintained,but the greens haven't recovered from last winter,slow and grainy.
Schaumburg Player/Baer review
Had a 10:20 tee-time and was able to tee-off at 10:10 and finish at 12:50 walking. Pace was great; course was beautiful. Tees, fairways, greens and bunkers were in great shape not mentioning it was April. Staff was great and encouraged me to either go alone or play with the twosome behind, my choice.
Can't say enough about what a great value this golf course was through the great deal from GolfNow; will play there again and book through GolfNow

Good course for the value. Only played 9 holes but pace was good. Will play it again.
Great Value!
Can't beat the value. Considering we are early into the season the fairways and greens were in great shape. Challenging course. This is silly, but they have the best divot repair tool I have ever seen and they are free.

Good Value
Always a pleasure to get a few rounds in late in the year with conditions not ideal. Only problem was the aerated greens.....but I can see that the greens would be fast and true under normal conditions. The rest of the course was fine. Staff was great, and took advantage of late season buys on apparel in golf shop. Altogether a nice experience.
Bad Greens
Beautifu weather, nice course in good conditon, but the greens were just aerated and impossible to putt on. In the future, staff shoul notify people of this when they call for reservations. I would not have played.

Fairways fair, leaves everywhere, greens terrible with holes punched, not puttable. Pace of play the worst, 20 people on the course and backed up everywhere.
Great Fall Golf
Schaumburg has been a local favorite of mine for years. Course is a little beat up not only from the year but from the preceeding harsh winter. No worries though, I am sure they will have the place back to it's normal tip top shape by the Spring!
Best after round food of any course I've been to. Nice job!
great course but staff brutal
The 9 hole course was beautiful even this late in year. The only hick up we had was with the starter. We were 10 mins late from tee time and we received a good scolding from starter. This was our 1st time there and we got lost. I realize being late to anything is not respectful to others but life happens. I own a business and if my client shows up late and gave them the scolding we received I would go out of business. Overall the course was beautiful just DO NOT be late.
Little surprise
I always think of Schaumburg as a well maintained course. They ahve 3 x 9's to spread the crowds around. Greens were not as perfect as they usually are and the surprise was all 4 of our soil tubs to repair divots were empty. A small thing. Course layouts are good and a pleasure to play here.
Great couses
Three 9 hole courses are used to create different 18 hole set ups. Interesting layouts with some water, excellent sand, and large trees.
Somewhat disappointed
I was rather disappointed in the course this time around. I've played the course many times (not this year though) and it is normally in great condition. This time the fairways were very thin and the greens were burnt with large repair spots all over. I'm not sure if the past winter took a massive toll on this course and it never came back or what but it is normally in pristine condition? The layout is pretty good except for a few holes that come together and you better take cover if errant shots are had but some hacks..... The pace was somewhat slow but and no ranger to scurry the slowpokes along but maybe its because it's fall and a Thursday afternoon? I hate to say its a bad course because it's really not but the condition was not what I remember. They need to freshen up the fairways and get attention on the greens again. Chandlers is an awesome restaurant so you can't go wrong with lunch or dinner there but this is a golf review. :) lower your prices because doesn't warrant $56 a round anymore if that's how the course is going to be manicured. I know because I saw it that it can be better. I only recommend it if you can get a good Golfnow deal of $28 w/cart or less right now.
