About
The 27-hole course at Schaumburg Golf Club is divided into three nines that are played in different 18-hole combinations that range from just over 6,000 yards to 6,700 yards. The Tournament, Baer, and Players Courses all provide a unique set of challenges but they share the same great conditions on their tees, greens, and fairways. Schaumburg has been host to numerous events since opening in 1928, including the U.S. Open Qualifying and Illinois Open Qualifying tournaments. It is a popular course since the club offers country club amenities and quality with the affordability of a public golf course. Schaumburg's Players/Baer combination starts out with a few tricky carries over water on the front nine and a more forgiving back nine. There are strategically placed bunkers throughout the course, however.

Pleasantly Suprised
Pace of play for 11:30 on a Sunday was fantastic 3:40 minutes. The reason I try not to play on weekends is to avoid the 5 hour rounds. Staff was very friendly. Course in good condition and the greens have recovered from last year
Players Course
Beautiful setting. Not much water. Have heard such good reviews about this course and I finally got to play it. Would love to go back.

The weather was great and the course was in great shape. We played Tournament/Player. I like the mix of the 3 nine hole courses at Schaumburg.

Great Condition
The course is in great condition. Fairways are excellent and the greens were even better. Got a great deal for nine holes with cart.

Good course but soggy and overgrown
The course is a nice course. However, there has been a bit of rain recently and some of the course was pretty soggy. In fact, it was cart path only which is fine but rounds would be faster if everyone walked then. It also felt like a county course with the shag carpet for greens. The lightning system forced me off the course after playing only 15 holes. Seemed a bit ridiculous as it should be up to me whether I assume the risk to play or not. I should not be forced off the course when I am a paying adult capable of understanding the risk... no lightning except in the far distance on the horizon!

Great municipal course
We played here a few years ago and were pleasantly surprised at the improvements. Price includes GPS on each cart. Carts appeared to be nearly new, clean and well maintained. GPS was accurate, compared to my Bushnell. Course plays fair from the white tees with only a few short holes with a lot of sand. There are a couple of holes where you tee over water that requires a decent carry. Overall a well maintained course, friendly staff. Highly recommended, especially at the reduced price.

Go recovery
Hesitant to go after conditions from last year, but course and greens in great condition. Worth the golf now price

Still some greens issues!
Schaumburg has been one of the best municipal clubs in the entire Chicago area for many years. They lost a lot of their bent on the greens a couple of years ago and they are still trying to recover evidently. The greens have a lot of po mixed in now so they are quite bumpy with the inconsistent grasses. Also, the hole "cuts" were not clean at all. Not sure what causes this issue. Otherwise, fairways and tees and rough were great as usual. Good value for the golf now rate, but not their full weekend non-resident rate.

Great course for any price.
This is one of the better courses in the area. Maintained almost flawlessly. Greens were mint. Fairways and sand were tough to navigate. Plenty of water and holes laid out at good distances to make getting on in regulation challenging. Enjoyed playing this course. Will deffinitely be back.

Will be back...
This course can play play slow at times but today was much better. We finished in 3:35. Back side slowed down. Course in very good shape, greens pretty good. Very good value at a last minute $20.

Overrated
Course was in good condition except a few of the first couple greens were not in great shape. I was expecting this course to be a bit nicer because of how much the price usually is. I would go back, but there are other courses that are just as nice, and easier to find at a cheaper price.

sporty course
three nines.Different combinations of 18 and nine holes.Well maintained,but the greens haven't recovered from last winter,slow and grainy.
Schaumburg Player/Baer review
Had a 10:20 tee-time and was able to tee-off at 10:10 and finish at 12:50 walking. Pace was great; course was beautiful. Tees, fairways, greens and bunkers were in great shape not mentioning it was April. Staff was great and encouraged me to either go alone or play with the twosome behind, my choice.
Can't say enough about what a great value this golf course was through the great deal from GolfNow; will play there again and book through GolfNow

Convenient and good value
Good course for the value. Only played 9 holes but pace was good. Will play it again.
Great Value!
Can't beat the value. Considering we are early into the season the fairways and greens were in great shape. Challenging course. This is silly, but they have the best divot repair tool I have ever seen and they are free.

Good Value
Always a pleasure to get a few rounds in late in the year with conditions not ideal. Only problem was the aerated greens.....but I can see that the greens would be fast and true under normal conditions. The rest of the course was fine. Staff was great, and took advantage of late season buys on apparel in golf shop. Altogether a nice experience.

Are you 100% sure 3:40 on Sunday. I play there every Sunday, third time in the AM and have never seen it play this fast. We normally get held up making the turn and catch up to other permanent times. Conidering you tee'd off shortly after I would have finished, I find it hard make this time since these slower groups are still out there.
