Phenomenal Course
Beautiful place to golf! Staff is VERY professional and friendly. Pace of play is structured well, however, my foursome got behind some golfers that insisted on finding their balls. No fault of the course, just golfers that were not familiar with the course.
Great experience
Beautiful concept and layout. Very well run course. Super polite and kind employees all around from the bar to the rangers to the cart kids. Beautiful scenery and seems super secluded from the rest of the world. The only knock I have is that there are so many divots in the fairway and ball marks on the greens that it makes it quite difficult to putt. Not that that’s 100% on the course, it’s more on the patrons who clearly don’t use any of the provided sand to fill in the divots.
Very disappointing greens
For the reputation this course has, the greens conditions were downright bad. Tons of divot marks, multiple greens seemed to have a grass disease. Very disappointing conditions
First Time at The Course
For the amount of money they charge, you would think the greens and bunkers would be taken care of better. Ball marks everywhere on every green. Most bunkers were not raked. Some didn't have rakes. Pace of play was slow. Course layout is nice and the starter was great. The people greeting you before and after by the carts were very nice and respectful. But the course needs to pay closer attention to the condition of the greens.
Over rated
This course is over rated. The greens had way too many ball marks. Many of the tee boxes were beat up. Rough was too thick. Needed to be mowed. Pace of play was horrible. The website acts all tough on pace of play but no ranger to be found. Super slow.
The lady starter was helpful and very nice. She did her job well! Food was good. Waitress was awesome. The man starter in the pm was kind of clueless. As we made the turn I asked if course was backed up, he says no you are good. We skipped the bathroom because of that comment and had to wait on two groups to tee off. Get a clue guy!
This course could be awesome as many golfers think but it’s not taken care of. Needs work! Doubt if I come back.
An out of the way course you should play
Great layout, used every club in the bag, resort or country club condition and very reasonable rate for this well kept Gem!
Sandy Pines Demott, IN
Hidden gem! Pleasantly surprised at how nice this course is! Excellent staff and the course was in good shape. They maintain the course well. The one negative I would say is the constant advertising on their GPS (at least 2 adds every hole). This required you to click the GOS which we found annoying trying to enjoy your round and out the GPS system for yardage. The carts were also a bit challenging with consistent beeping and the parking breake not working well. Overall, I would recommend this as a great value.
Such a great place!!
I can not believe how reasonably priced it was for our 2:30 tee time for only $62! Course was beautiful and staff was awesome. Range was in just as beautiful of shape as the course. Pillow soft fairways beautiful greens and tee boxes to match! I am not kidding when I say this place could easily charge $150 for a round compared to courses I’ve played in my life. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about Sandy Pines. Go play there immediately !!
Beautiful Course in Northern Indiana
We played Sandy Springs as Indiana leg of our four states in four days golf trip through the Midwest, and were quite pleasantly surprised. Sandy Springs as a very playable layout, in great condition, and quite pleasing to the eye. People are super-friendly, greens fees are a bargain, and lunch at the club’s quite popular restaurant was fun. If you want to add in the Indiana farm experience, stay at Fair Oaks, just down the road!
