Charlotte Harbor National Golf Club

this is a nice golf course so long as you stay out of the bunkers. Since the day this course opened they have the worst bunkers in the tri-county area. They are hard clay and rocks, not a spec of sand to be found anywhere. I just can't understand when you have such a nice golf course why you don't fill the bunkers with sand. I'm pretty sure it's not that expensive. Go figure.

Enjoy playing Bobcat. Offers some tough challenges on some holes, while also being fair.

The only negative feature are the traps, many rocks in them.

I have golfed Bobcat before and would say that my review is similar to the last time I played.

This is not the best course in the area nor the best value, but if you can find a deal around $30US, it is a good test of golf.

Generally, this course is rarely busy which makes for a leisurely round but at other times it can get backed up (opportunity for a better marshall to patrol the grounds).

There are a lot of fun holes and some other uninspired holes, but overall makes for a fun day.

Bobcat is not a 'standout' course in the local golf scene or one you brag to your friends for playing, but it is a good course to play if the price is right.

Needs some new bunkers immediately and could use some additional hazards to increase the difficultly.

This is one of our favourite course in the area.
Nothing they can do, but with all of the rain, anything around the greens is plugging. Which makes it very difficult as it is not always practical to land the greens, so almost all approach shots do not roll in.
If you want PGA greens with elevation changes, this is it. Plus running easily 10 to 11.
The roughs are very fair and very manageable.
The fairways are allowing for the bump to work on the clubs.

First of all the greens were the fastest greens we played on all time that we were in Florida. Fairways were big and beautiful but the bunkers were absolutely horrible rocks stones you name it it was in there. We love the layout of the golf course it was a shot makers golf course that's what I like.

The course plays well but I could have played better

Course was very nice and challenging, Starter was very friendly and explained the layout of the course for us first timers. We had back to back tee times w/ 5 golfers, allowed others to start prior to us so that we could play as a fivesome as long as we kept up the pace. Next group was 20 min behind. I do not care to play with more than 4 but respectfully gave it a try. Ranger checked up on us a few times as 2 threesomes were starting to catch up after 15 holes. Pick up pace and finished in 4hrs 28 min. Not bad for 5 golfers!!

I would recommend to my friends,liked the greens and the course was not too short

Course has just enough traps and just enough water to make it challenging but no impossible. course was clean. traps were raked. Price was fine. Starter very helpful as to course layout and right there with the cart.
Highly recommend this course

This course has some of the most demonic bunkers I have ever seen. Lips more than two feet high! You need to be accurate off the tee here. The greens were rolling great. I gotta say, from the guard at the gate to the lady who served us a cold beer at the end -- friendliest people ever.

The greens are very tough to put the course is in great shape and this is a must play for whatever dollars you pay for it

Bobcat used to be our 'Go too' course when visiting this area. But boy has this place changed. A few years ago the course was in top notch condition and all the staff were friendly.
Played yesterday morning. The guy in the shop wasn't that talkative. The Starter complained to us that we were one of three pairs who all had the same starting time (as if that was out fault) and then told my wife and I we'd need to carry our bags to the buggy area as carts weren't allowed in the car park. He did then change his mind and bring our cart to us.
The course condition has deteriorated recently. The bunkers were in a bad state. There had been heavy rain recently, but it hadn't rained the day before. So why hadn't any ground staff raked the rain flattened bunkers in the previous 24 hours?
Such a shame as this used to be a great course.

It rained the day before so it was cart path only. Took over 2 1/2 hrs to play so quit after 9 holes.

The course was overly gracious and gave us a refund for the 9 holes to return another time. They couldn't have handled it better and they definitely can't control the weather.

Course was in good shape overall. Greens were quick and true. Only negative is the bunkers which were horrible

Great course, well worth a visit. The greens were very challenging and overall it was in fairly good condition. The only downside was the state of the bunkers which were almost unplayable. We would play this course again though.

Great course but the traps are terrible. It's Florida, sand is everywhere they can't get some good sand?

Tee boxes did not match card. Fairways a bit rough, many irregularities. Bunkers have not seen new sand or been maintained in years. Green side grass rough condition. Greens were the only thing in decent condition.

Great course will be going back again soon! Only got 14 holes in before being rained out, but still had a great time. Very nice carts newer gas but fuel injected.
Club house nice , food very good and a fair price...

Bobcat is a very nice course that plays well from the whites for us that are weekend golfers. It is challenging on many holes but a fun challenge. It rained for part of this outing (Florida in the summer) but still a very good day of golf!
