About
UNC Finley Golf Course is one of the top 20 collegiate courses in the country. The club offers a well conditioned comprehensive facility with a driving range, putting green, and chipping. Tom Fazio designed this challenging layout that is diverse enough to appeal to players of all skill levels. He included his trademark false fronts and greenside bunkers. To keep the golf course approachable, there are several different ways to play the bunkers and there are numerous risk-reward opportunities. Seven sets of tees ranging from about 5,000 to 7,300 yards make the course even more versatile. The 15th through the 17th are a beautiful stretch of holes that provide a formidable test as well. The excellent conditions are another feature of the UNC Finley golf course that has made it popular.

Awful Customer Service
Really poor customer service. They showed no regard for wanting repeat customers. Even for a customer who is a faculty member at UNC, lives in Chapel Hill, could come back many, many times and bring many people with him/her they would not budge and make sure we had a good experience. Basics: i have never golfed there before and I booked through GolfNow. We preferred to walk because it is cart path only but they said we absolutely could not change to walking or get faculty discount because we had booked through GolfNow. Sounds like they need to get a different website or figure out to keep their customers satisfied. Rest of round was great.
Always in great shape...
I have played this course 5 times over the past few months and it is always in great shape. The course drains well and the greens roll true. It is surrounded by pine trees and there is never a pine needle on the greens - not sure how they do it. Can't wait for the next round at UNC Finley!

Have played all 3 universities courses in the triangle, this is the most reasonable. Layout, conditions, fair for mid handicap golfers.

Great Course
Overall, great course. The course is fairly wide open and very playable. A couple of the holes have a great risk/reward factor for tee shots and the greens were in great shape. I must say I thoroughly enjoyed my round there, even though I'm an NC State fan, lol. Great course, would definitely like to play again when in the area.

Superior Course!
Gently undulating fairways. Firm, fast and yet smooth bent grass greens. Second to none bunkers, with plenty of sand to soak up moisture.
These are the features that characterized UNC Finley GC today
Even with morning showers they were confident enough to let carts abide to 90° rule. The course drains that well.
Get out here , it’s worth the penny!
Eat. Sleep. Golf. Repeat. Off to the mountains tomorrow.

Excellent experience
Very good conditions overall. Greens rolled true and were well taken care of. Nice layout and very comfortable feel. Not the longest course, but still challenging and requiring shot management. Staff were all great. Only gave off course amenities a lower score since most are unavailable due to COVID. Overall, Enjoyed it.
