About
UNC Finley Golf Course is one of the top 20 collegiate courses in the country. The club offers a well conditioned comprehensive facility with a driving range, putting green, and chipping. Tom Fazio designed this challenging layout that is diverse enough to appeal to players of all skill levels. He included his trademark false fronts and greenside bunkers. To keep the golf course approachable, there are several different ways to play the bunkers and there are numerous risk-reward opportunities. Seven sets of tees ranging from about 5,000 to 7,300 yards make the course even more versatile. The 15th through the 17th are a beautiful stretch of holes that provide a formidable test as well. The excellent conditions are another feature of the UNC Finley golf course that has made it popular.

An absolute WONDERFUL time today on the course! Pace of play was absolutely perfect, the other twosome we got teamed with was awesome and everything from tee to green was immaculate!! So far, it's the best course I've played in the Raleigh area and can't wait to play it again!!
Love this course
Finley is a challenging yet fair course. Fairways are great but rough is thick so you better him your drives straight. A lot of bunkers but they're taking care of them unlike many courses during this pandemic. Greens were slow due to recent aeration. Crowded but moved along with little waiting. No entry to the clubhouse with all entrances blocked off and had to walk all the way around with no signs. Very confusing! But all in all I love this course and highly recommend it.

Beautiful Course
Course looks like it could be on the PGA Tour! Love all the different shades of green throughout the course, no dead patches of grass, everything looks pristine. The greens just a little bumpy at times from ball marks not being repaired. Only other downside is that it’s $100 a round. Should be around $70.

Beautiful Course
Looks like a course on the Tour! Love the different shades of green throughout the course. Everything was basically perfect, besides their being a little too many bumps on the green from unfixed ball marks.

Good layout, but overpriced for conditions of greens
We walked Sunday afternoon and the pace of play was great. The fairways are flush, as are the majority of the tee boxes. No cart person, but this is to be expected in the afternoon and with COVID. The driving range is hitting from the mats, as they have limited staff working the range. The only issue I have is that the rate they charge does not match the quality of golf. The greens are soft, slow, and pretty chewed up from unfixed pitch marks and super soft conditions. Overall, positive experience but probably won't play again due to bad greens.

A little disappointed
Greens are way too furry because they’re trying to save them from the summer heat. There was minimal food and beverage open and the pro shop was roped off like a crime scene. This is the worst experience I’ve had here in four years...I have always had an amazing experience and it just did not make it.

Solid spot
Despite it being 105 degrees out, we still had a great round. The pace of play was phenomenal (3 hrs 15 min). Fairways were in excellent shape and cut perfectly. Greens were soft and surprisingly slow.
The overall layout is one of the best I've played in the area - found myself taking a few more photos than I typically would. Just make sure you bring enough water for your round!
