UNC Finley Golf Course

Had rained a lot in the days before I played. Course was cart path only, but expected. Very fun layout....the par 4's are what make the course challenging. Great deal on GN.....wouldn't pay over $50 to play the course. The starter was a bit gruff.....but I ignored him.

Course was in very good condition considering rain for many days, including the day we played and that greens on the back nine had recently been punched. This is acourse that the staff / ground crew really. Care about.

Most of the course was in very nice condition despite some obvious heavy rain. However, the punched greens were not properly sanded so the putting strokes looked like small basketballs on their way to the hole and despite playing well, 37 putts made my score in the mid 80s.

Warm welcome at pro shop. Easy payment for greens fees and cart—at reasonable rates. Helpful, happy starter at first tee, who made every effort to ensure we’d be comfortable playing the course for the first time....we’re already scheduled to play again at the end of the week.

first time playing the course. definitely challenging with not knowing the layout of the course. grass had not fully come in yet and greens were recently punched but rolled nicely. easily walkable course. would like to play once the weather turns.

Aeration was not noted on Golfnow. Probably will be rough for another 2-4 weeks.

I was attacked by swarms of beetles on about every green on the front 9. It was absolutely disgusting. Pace of play was good. Layout is good. Conditions are fine considering time of year, other than the aforementioned greens issues.

Rainy Saturday but the staff was extremely polite and professional. The course was pretty open due to slight drizzle and I played as a single and didn't have to wait until 13. The course was in amazing shape considering the rain the morning and night before and the only negative is players didn't seem to repair ball marks but everything else was excellent and is a highly recommended option for an outing with family from outside of town with character and many natural scenes and wildlife.

Course was just starting to dry out after 10" snow melt. Cart Path Only makes the course play long and slower than normal but the course was in good shape considering the weather it encountered last week.

Chilly day with some light wind . Sun was out but the course had taken on some snow the week prior and rain a couple of days ago , this cart path only .

We didn’t know that until we got there , no worries

this course ... you’d be better served walking .anyways . Front nine was nice from one up tees 6700 . Ahhh .. But then the back really tests you .

Gotta drive your ball well here .

Unfortunately, the greens were slow and bumpy like Velcro . I’m sure this is not the case most of the time and due to the previous weather. Will try it again when conditions are better

For time of year- great! Due to weather cart path only which caused slower pace of play. Great course condition as usual

It was very windy - wind warning and gusts up to 40mph. Course was very wet from the snow and rain. Greens furry as they could not get to cut them.

This course does not drain so well especially in the winter.

Wonderful weather, amazing staff, and a great golf course made for the perfect day. Best course I have played on!

Wanting to play a round before Christmas, I found a tee time at Finley that I couldn’t believe. Fourteen dollars for one of the best courses in the area. Course was in very good condition,considering the time of year. Greens in good shape, although a little slower than I would have liked. All in all, a good round, having played it in 3and half hours

For a cold day in December this was a good day. The course was in good shape, damp in some areas, but overall good shape. Greens role very true and are in good condition as well. Looking forward to playing here again especially in the spring & summer.

Course in good shape for December. Very dry and the ball rolls out well. For the most part you get what you see, no hidden suprises.
