UNC Finley Golf Course

This is a very solid golf course, as one would expect of a Fazio design. Well maintained, also as one would expect. Greens had recently been punched so walking fee was discounted, a bonus (I paid $31 to walk on Memorial Day). A little pricey but worth it when compared to other area options of similar quality (Preserve at Jordan Lake, Chapel Ridge, etc.).

Have played course several times. One of the best in the area. A little pricey. Usually in good condition, this time not as good. Will continue to play, especially if I can find specials.

Great course with a fantastic lay out. The course was in fantastic condition even with the greens being aerated the week before. Very much "target" golf. Shorter course that require very solid iron play. My only knock on the course is the price. I have played nicer courses at a cheaper price. But would would you expect in Chapel Hill.

Greens were aeirated but still putted Tom Fazio style greens with challenge. Four stars for building encroachment onto course edges, feels like Dallas course at times. Sure UNC had to compromise but bunkering with 15-20 foot mounds at roads would be welcome addition.

unfortunately the greens were punched with large tines two days before we began play but he course otherwise was in good shape. love the layout.

Haven't played Finley in a couple of years. Forgot what a great course this is. Need to come back more often.

Love this course...was very happy. Was a lot better than what Lonbie Poole which I played on Tuesday

Greens were really good considering all the rain that the course had to deal with. Fairways were not up to Finley standards but I'm sure they'll have them back soon.

The course was not as difficult as I thought is would be. I've played NC State /Lonnie Poole course, Campbell U. & I perceived this course to be on those levels but it was not. Not as difficult, nor as manicured. however it was a good course layout.

Fantastic layout, greens are well manicured and large and offer subtle breaks that make them challenging but fair. Can't wait to play it again!

Still early in the year with a few brown spots here and there however, the course is shaping up pretty good.
Definitely will be back to play this one. No comment on the food as I did not eat there

Very disappointed in the overall appearance. Fairways seemed extremely dry

Very friendly staff at Finley. Course was very wet after rain the night before and cart path only was in effect. This slowed us down a bit but the issue was all of the single players they had that should have been grouped together. We waved ahead 5 different singles on the front 9 alone. I've not seen anything like it before. Other than that we just had to wait a while on the Duke golf team as they were practicing and scouting the course. Overall, love the course and services provided. Just need to work on the groupings.

Thoroughly enjoyed played in earl spring conditions. Fun and enjoyable.

Played on a weekday morning. Pace of play was great. The course had recently aerated but it didn't affect putting that much- greens were still fast. Definitely some challenging holes but a good variety to challenge any skill level.

Finley is a fine course. Greens are great. Tough tee shots but fair. One of the nicer courses around.

Early in the season so Bermuda dormant. Just had slower groups in front of us. Will return later in season. Only lost one ball.

First time playing got good price so went played with some friends nice layout , good pace of play and for this time year course was in good condition,

First time playing Finley, and very happy about it! As a Duke student, I normally play the WaDuke, but when I saw a deal for Finley I jumped on it. Although the course was completely brown, I attribute that to the late winter we had down here in Carolina and to no fault of the Finley staff. Even though everything was brown, you could still see the course has a great layout and great bones. I thought it was a great mix of challenging shots (on many holes, if your approach shot is on the wrong tier or, worse, misses the green entirely, forget about par) but also had foregiveability that the WaDuke lacks. Greens, though marked a bit, still rolled quick and true. Overall a really great course.

Good course. Challenging but fair.
Winter conditions so it's a little wet.
Like it and will play again.
