Olde Sycamore Golf Club

Tee boxes were a little beat up and a bunch were slanted/on an angle so teeing off with ball above your feet. Greens were not good. Very bumpy and bald in spots so putting was difficult. Know they had an issue last year with the greens so maybe it’s better but still a ways to go. Wouldn’t pay the $80 to play here again until that’s fixed. Much better options for same price point.

The course was in great shape, (4-23-25) fun & challenging layout. Lots of bunkers and creeks & various hazards to keep in mind when your playing. A little pricey but definitely fun. Definitely check this course out if your in the area!

Course was slow to start since they pack tee times in every 9 minutes. Would not let you drive cart on the course even though it was dry. Because it was so slow they did allow it and it sped up the round. Looks like they are doing a lot of work and it will be nice when completed. The greens are terrible for a course of this caliber. They are replacing them this summer but they put effort into the the greens at this moment.

$80 for good fairways, average tee boxes and terrible greens isn’t worth it. They are reworking the tee boxes and greens this summer, but hopefully they will not increase round prices.

I would not waste your money in the next few months.

I played the course and the layout was beautiful. But the greens were awful. I paid $53 for 18 at 4:21 and it was not worth it in my opinion. I wouldn’t pay more than $25 for that value

I had been told to stay away from Olde Sycamore because “their greens are trash.” I went into it with an open mind and discovered that although there was evidence of some damage, it was NOT like “putting on the moon” as some had said. I think the course has gotten a prolonged bad rap when the real problem lasted only weeks, not months. The starter told me that ALL the greens are being replaced, so it is clear Olde Syc is committed to upping their game.

I was very happy with the round and the conditions. The staff could not have been more friendly. I’m headed back for sure.

No course maintenance whatsoever, terrible conditions particularly for the price

The course is absolutely destroyed. The greens are more bumpy than hitting on asphalt. I was hoping it got better but haven’t done anything since last spring. You can still see the plastic grid line material in the greens. And they also are cutting down a bunch of trees so if you go off the course a little good luck finding the ball.

My wife and I lived in Olde Sycamore neighborhood for almost 20 years, and belonged as members. OS always had some of the best conditions in the area, but currently it is practically unplayable. I have never played on greens as bad as they are right now. They are still charging prices as if nothing condition wise has changed. The greens need to be totally redone immediately to try and get ready for upcoming season.

Played this course for the 1st time since October and the greens are MUCH better. My putting wasn't but can't blame that on the condition of the greens. Enjoyed the course.

This is a really nice place to play. Course was is reasonably good shape considering it’s January. Staff was very helpful and friendly. We’ll worth the money Love playing here.

Most of the greens are in bad shape. Bumpy and tons of divots. Spend your money elsewhere in Charlotte for better course conditions
