Forest Oaks Country Club

After being closed for a bit I was worried that Forest Oaks would not be the same quality it was in the past. It has suffered some but for the most part it is as good as it was when the PGA held a tourney here. The greens were a bit rough but that was more from players not repairing ball marks than any fault of the course. The rough was cut fairly, the tee boxes were perfect and the fairways great. Food is a bit expensive but that is to be expected.

Very enjoyable course. Nice length off the back 2 sets of tees but short enough off the front for the everyone to enjoy. Course in great condition. Staff in pro shop and the cart guy were great.

Old PGA tour site. I like most everything about this course except the rough is too long. I lost 4 or 5 balls that should have been found but the rough swallows your ball. I think management may be stubbornly hanging onto the notion that this course needs to remain at PGA tour level but for the average golfer its no fun when you can't even find your shot let alone be able to do much with it. It was not consistent either. Some spots it was 3 inches and just a foot away it was 5. Otherwise I enjoyed it. Especially the greens. Very smooth and firm.

Would play again. The course was in great shape! The staff was very nice. Golf attire is necessary. Real Country Club, just recently went public. Great place to play for $15.

This was not a ease course but it was a challenging course. For $15 this happens to be one of the best courses I have plaed.

We found this deal at golf now and were thrilled. This is a great course and it was in excellent shape. The grill offerings were great and the staff was very friendly. We hope to play again soon!

Course layout is great. Obviously not what it was when GGO was there. The real issue is a lack of amenities. No beer or grill. I'm sure it can return to it's glory but it's going to take some cash....

Played here before when it was private. Course has come back a lot under new management. Sand traps need work and greens are slow but putt true. A pleasure to play,'

I came away very impressed with layout and condition !

Very nice course with challenging greens in great condition. Would have loved to complete the round but Mother Nature had other ideas and we were rained out on the back nine. Very much looking forward to returning. One criticism........ a very slow twosome started on the back as we were approaching the turn. Slowed our foursome to a crawl, then the rain rolled in!!!

The course is in excellent shape. The fairways and rough are beautiful. The greens are somewhat slow but very soft. The course has alot of elevation changes that make you think about club selection. If you have never played it you should !

Great weather, good layout, greens rolled nice and true. Add to that the percentage of fairways we hit and it shakes out as a fun four hours.

This was my first time playing this course. It was a great experience. I will be back!

Forest Oaks is a very nice golf course but it is not in top condition. Meaning the fairways were browning -out due to lack of rain/watering. It appears the new ownership is barely watering the course. Some of the tees had virtually no grass. But that said the greens are in very good condition and at GolfNow discounted rates a very good value for the money.

Forest oaks has been in the news lately with a negative spin but it's still a great course and we had a wonderful time playing it

Relaxing enjoyable experience with a variety of challenging holes. Greens were in excellent shape with some tough pin placements.

I enjoyed forest oaks immensel. The staff was the friendliest I've ever encountered. If more places werelike this, there would be less aggravated golfers. If you haven't been, gotta go!

Well worth the drive - great condition - good food and very nice staff. Greens were great with a lot of undulation.

I enjoyed the course. On a hot day the course felt cool. Course is coming back to great PGA play. Greens are in great shape.
