About
River Ridge Golf Club is one of the finest public golf courses in Raleigh. The course sprawls across 100 acres in the heart of the Triangle, it's an easy 15-minute drive from downtown Raleigh. The lush green of the course contrasts beautifully with the Carolina blue skies. Mature trees frame most of the holes and there are a few lakes that come into play. The rolling terrain provides plenty of ups and downs throughout the golf course. Accuracy will be generously rewarded but it's not overly punishing for the high handicapper. The course's signature hole is the par-4 fifth, a 375-yard hole that can be conquered with smart play. Try to keep your long iron or fairway wood to the right of the fairway, which will give you a short iron approach into the green.

Great value
The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because they don’t provide water on the course, which is inexcusable in hot weather. Otherwise it was a very enjoyable day.
Great Course
Great course overall. After playing it once, I realized some holes had more room to land a driver or 3 wood. Greens were very speedy and true. Practice facilities were solid and the putting green prepared you for the reality of the speedy greens. Make sure you are on the right side of the hole with your approach.

You will not regret playing this course
Excellent condition
Course is in excellent condition all around best tee boxes, fairways and greens I’ve played in the area. Greens are tough, quick and tough pin placements but in great shape. Nice that range balls are included since it is a rather expensive course. A bit pricier than most courses in the area but better course conditions, so worth the splurge every once in awhile. Will be coming back.

Slow play due to 4some ahead of us and was 2 holes behind. No range to speed up play.

Second time playing this course in a week. Played a different set of tees which changed several holes significantly, but most were only 1 club difference. 10/10 recommend
Great course. Great value.
Challenging course that makes you think. I literally hit every club in my bag during the round. Greens were 4/5. Great practice area as well. Staff was accommodating and friendly. Will def go back
Beautiful course
First time at this course and very impressed. Greens are excellent & true! Some out of bounds areas needed to be cleaned up a bit but on course was exceptional.
