River Ridge Golf Club

I reserved a tee time a week in advance and took a day off solely to golf. I 45 minutes arrived early, checked in, asked who I would be playing with, and kept my eyes open for a group of 3 (or a solo player) who I would be paired with. When it became time to head out, I checked with the starter and was told a group of 4 went out at my reserved time and that I could not join them. It was a beautiful day so the course was busy and the starter was unable to fit me into any other groups. After 15 minutes of trying to find an alternate group, I ended up going home without golfing.

I tried to email member services but after more than a week, I have not heard back. Beyond disappointed with my experience and will unlikely return in the future.

Friendly staff and great practice facilities. Course layout was nice. Fairways need a bit more grass but greens rolled nice

This was my second time playing River Ridge. Both in the past couple weeks. I rated the course highly after my first tee time but had the one criticism of pace of play. Wednesday’s round was amazing. Same great track with great pace. Finished the round a bit shy of 4 hours. Staff is always great, Range has adequate space, course is a very good balance of distance and attack angles. Will be back, and soon.

River ridge is one of the best kept golf courses in the triangle. Friendly staff, bucket of balls included with tee time, gps carts, good pace of play etc. always enjoying playing here!

In general, the course is in very good shape and plays well the greens put very well and are fairly quick. The bunkers did need attention, as there were some areas where there was not very much sand and some areas of standing water. This overall is a Great Course and fun to play. Also, the practice chipping and putting areas are excellent and you get a free small bucket of balls with your route.

This course has really stepped up their game over the years. They have replaced all golf carts with auto stop GPS carts. Greens roll true year around and is always in top shape. If you can break an 80 here, good for you. Fun layout and always worth the money

Considering this is a public course the conditions were better than some private clubs we have played. Some very challenging holes that required a lot of careful club selection. Pace of play was what would be expected for a public course on a weekend. Highly recommended.

I thought overall the course was fun. I enjoyed the length quite a bit. I played the white/blue mixed tees. Distances from the tee box were very fun. A challenging give an take of distance and attack angles. It rained a lot this past week but the course was in very very good condition. I was pleasantly surprised. Greens were in fantastic shape. My one criticism was almost every group was a twosome. When booking it looked like most groups were 3 or 4. The large amount of groups let to some backlog and waiting on the tee box. But all things considered I enjoyed playing the course a lot and will be back.

Fun course, very nice layout, target golf challenging without course knowledge even with gps-course map on cart.

Fairways were dormant but very playable. Greens were tough if above the hole, rolled pretty well, consistent. Paired with some very nice, friendly players.

Course is fantastic , above average layout . Excellent fast and true greens. But you got to do something about your pace of play . Absolutely horrible , ,either increase your time in between tee times or group into 4somes . 4hr 50 min round and STILL didnt finish 18 by teeing off at 2:50 . Absolutely horrific .
