About
Eagle Chase Golf Club is tucked away in the rolling hills of northern Union County, surrounded by nothing but acres of countryside and farmland. The secluded locale is ideal for golf, especially since it is conveniently situated less than an hour from Charlotte. The course tumbles across lush green hills and valleys, providing almost every hole with an elevated tee or green. The undulating layout definitely plays like a mountain golf course with even lies being hard to find and a few blind shots to contend with. Water hazards come into play on seven holes, including the first three and the 12th hole, an uphill par 3 that is one of the golf course's most difficult. In addition to the course, Eagle Chase G.C. also offers a driving range, practice bunker, and chipping and putting greens.

Eagle Chase fun
Fun day at Eagle Chase. Course in good shape. Even though cart paths in areas are being redone, no issues and even those workers were friendly.
My only suggestion is to cut the greens a little lower. They are smooth but need to be faster.
The fairways, tees, sand - all good.
I didn’t play great but a par on 18 always sends you home with a smile.

Great course
Love this course and would give it 5 stars but this outing was tough.
Got paired with a couple guys that shouldn’t have been there.
Made for a rough day, most my fault for not playing the game inside the game well, but could t give a full five stars.

Great go to golf course right outside of the Charlotte area
Great public course just 45 minutes from Charlotte. The staff is excellent and super friendly. The course plays like a mountain course (lots of elevation changes, blind shots, and sloping fairways). It is challenging but fair and fun. Greens are very well maintained. Only negatives: cart paths could use some TLC (it looks like they are setting up to re-do them soon) and the port-a-johns need to be swapped out.

Great course, super slow greens
Overall I loved this course, especially for the price I paid. Sand traps were in great conditions and were nice, fairways were very clean and easy to hit. The only complaint I have is the greens were just slow and hard. Me and the guy I played with wasn’t able to get a ball to bite and stay on the greens. We tried the bump and run and even loft but with how hard the greens are you would get a few bounces and roll right off so it made the short game very difficult to handle. I would definitely come back to this course for another round with my buddies.

Good Ole Marshville
If you’re looking for that perfect little get away on a weekend morning, by your self or with a couple friends. Eagle Chase is a low key good spot to book a tee time in the morning. Get it while you can. It’s typically up there even though other courses go quick. The greens are pretty good. Courses like Skybrook & Monroe are more true. But the front 9 is cool to look at out of some tee boxes. Jaw dropping par 3, perched up par 4 tee boxes. Pretty gettable course and fun layout. Good value for the money. Bring a good golf music playlist & car phone charger on the drive. It’s in the middle of nowhere!

Pack a lunch
The pace of play is absurd. They put out fivesomes on a Sunday. Stack unscheduled groups between tee sheet groups. The course is in good shape but the way it is managed is poor for the player. Good for the course but I won’t return until they get their course management under control.
