About
Eagle Chase Golf Club is tucked away in the rolling hills of northern Union County, surrounded by nothing but acres of countryside and farmland. The secluded locale is ideal for golf, especially since it is conveniently situated less than an hour from Charlotte. The course tumbles across lush green hills and valleys, providing almost every hole with an elevated tee or green. The undulating layout definitely plays like a mountain golf course with even lies being hard to find and a few blind shots to contend with. Water hazards come into play on seven holes, including the first three and the 12th hole, an uphill par 3 that is one of the golf course's most difficult. In addition to the course, Eagle Chase G.C. also offers a driving range, practice bunker, and chipping and putting greens.

Best course in Charlotte area
This is the best course to play in the greater Charlotte area. The course is fun and scenic. The experience and location makes it feel like you are on vacation in the mountains. Staff is friendly and course is in great shape.
Great greens
If you like smooth greens, make the trek to Marshville. Some challenging holes with many elevation changes. Must keep it in the fairway and avoid gravel cart paths.

Great Conditions
Eagle Chase is one of the most unique layouts in the Charlotte area and the conditions were great on this Sunday afternoon! It has its dry patches here and there but for the most part, conditions were quite good. Greens were in great shape and rolling well and challenging as always. It's one of the best deals in the area and it's well worth the drive from Charlotte for a fun and challenging round!

My favorite course right outside Charlotte, great staff and fun course to play. Feels like you are in the mountains . Can’t say enough about this course and it’s staff. Will be back!

The Eagles do indeed soar
Well maintained and challenging especially on the back 9. Greens are in excellent condition and present a tough but fair puzzle overall.

Always enjoy Eagle Chase. Course always in great shape and even though it's a bit of haul for me (45 minutes) it's well worth it.

Another great day of golf!
As usual, the staff was friendly and professional (especially Steve) which is always appreciated when starting a round or stopping in at the turn.
Recent rains have made the fairways and greens full of fresh growth. Speaking of the greens, I had the best day of my life making long putts...two from deep in the fringe (wish I had a news crew following and filming the action). Of course my playing partner was enthusiastic at first but became grumpy as I continued to make the long putts!

Please put H2O back on course
Loved everything except lack of water on course. COVID-19 restrictions relaxed, and I have played multiple NC courses recently that have resumed water coolers on course..

Room for improvement
Eagle Chase is usually a solid value if you get a decent rate online. However just about every tee box on the front could use some TLC and the bunkers are borderline unplayable with the amount of rocks in them. With gas the way it is we will be staying closer to home in Charlotte.
