About
Eagle Chase Golf Club is tucked away in the rolling hills of northern Union County, surrounded by nothing but acres of countryside and farmland. The secluded locale is ideal for golf, especially since it is conveniently situated less than an hour from Charlotte. The course tumbles across lush green hills and valleys, providing almost every hole with an elevated tee or green. The undulating layout definitely plays like a mountain golf course with even lies being hard to find and a few blind shots to contend with. Water hazards come into play on seven holes, including the first three and the 12th hole, an uphill par 3 that is one of the golf course's most difficult. In addition to the course, Eagle Chase G.C. also offers a driving range, practice bunker, and chipping and putting greens.

Eagle Chase probably the best value close to Charlotte
Played with a buddy and my 12 year old son and we had and awesome time! The greens were smooth and fast and the fairway was equally well maintained. I'm new to golf, and #3 was the site of my 1st ever birdie a little over a year ago! Definitely will be back before it gets too cold to play in the mornings.

We drive a bit farther to get here but always happy with the course conditions. Greens and fairways are in top shape. The cart paths no so much but I keep coming back.

Awesome value and round!
What a amazing course for the money. Course was just perfect and grounds crew all were working their tails off. Cart paths suck but the greens were stupid nice, best in Charlotte. Great job Eagle Chase crew!!!!

Excellent course!
I've played Eagle Chase a few times over the years and today I would say it was in the best shape I have ever seen it. The greens were in near perfect condition, very well maintained with no visible issues. Great experience!

Mountain Course in Marshville?
This is a very challenging course for me to review. For my very first round at Eagle Chase, I took my son — a beginner— to the course and we just hit around, did not keep score and even picked up on a number of holes. We had a great time, without all the frustration I would expect with a more serious round at this very serious course.
Let me start with the greens. These were the best “public course” greens I have played in a long time. They were in terrific shape, super fast, with lots of contour and shape. Not a lot of multi-level set-ups but you still needed to be in the right location relative to the hole to have any chance for a good score.
Fairways and tee boxes also in fine shape although there were several tee boxes beaten down by overuse and needing adjustment.
The layout is a little too curvy for my taste. It isn’t about the elevation changes tee to green — although at one point I lamented to my son that it seemed like EVERY tee shot was uphill. Some of the side hill changes were really challenging. The 15th hole in particular was ridiculous. It should come with warning label. The right side of the fairway is about 100 feet higher than the left and the cart path runs along the low side with a rope line blocking access. We did not finish out the hole.
Repeated play will definitely help here, as would a yardage book or GPS.
Cart paths are a little torn up and bumpy. Also, Gas carts. Add too much noise to the experience and a handful of tee boxes or so close to the previous green the next group isn’t sure when they should hit.
But for $42 on a Sunday, I will definitely be back to flog myself on these tough greens.

Great course
I've always loved this. The layout is great and the views are awesome. My only complaint about my round today is that the greens were very slow. They felt like the needed to be cut.

Crowded During Football?
Usually at 1pm on Sundays, golf courses are empty but this place was packed.
I guess the word is out - Eagle Chase kicks butt

Excellent Condition
Hands down the best greens in the Charlotte area. The course is in great condition and is obviously well maintained. Some of the best views on a course I have ever scene. The course plays tough, lots of elevation changes to deal with. The only negative is the cart paths are not exactly smooth.

Great course in the country
Greens were in great shape. Pro shop staff is friendly. There is just enough water on the course to make you think. Even the bunkers were in great shape. Great course for the money. Worth the drive out to Marshville.

A breath of fresh air
Great wee course. Deffo be back. 11th hole probably one of the best approach shots in town! Very friendly staff and an easy going vibe. Pace slightly slow at the time we went but nothing to get upset about. Not for the absolute beginner. Quite a few long carries.. Greens are immaculate. Deffo worth the drive out. All round great vibes. Congratulations to the team there who keep it chilled and enjoyable.
