About
Eagle Chase Golf Club is tucked away in the rolling hills of northern Union County, surrounded by nothing but acres of countryside and farmland. The secluded locale is ideal for golf, especially since it is conveniently situated less than an hour from Charlotte. The course tumbles across lush green hills and valleys, providing almost every hole with an elevated tee or green. The undulating layout definitely plays like a mountain golf course with even lies being hard to find and a few blind shots to contend with. Water hazards come into play on seven holes, including the first three and the 12th hole, an uphill par 3 that is one of the golf course's most difficult. In addition to the course, Eagle Chase G.C. also offers a driving range, practice bunker, and chipping and putting greens.

Challenging Course
A hidden gem. The greens are in Awesome shape, fast and roll nice. The front 9 is harder that the back 9 for some. You have to stay in the fairway since the rough is Bermuda and lies can be difficult to get up and down.

Superb layout and course is always in great shape. As good a course for the value you’ll ever play.
*Greens tend to be a touch slow in the summer.

Good course - great value
Nice layout with my favorite holes being #1 (sharp dogleg left par 5 that offers a reasonable opening test), #2 (toughest hole on the course with intimidating tee shot) and holes #11-13 around a small lake. Most of front 9 runs up and down a hill and feels a bit repetitive towards the end of the nine. Back 9 utilizes some flatter land early before returning to the hill. Only hole I didn't like was #15 which plays 2-3 clubs uphill for the 2nd shot with the carry being all over rough.
Course was in good condition, though the greens were a bit slow (but putted true). Greens were interesting without being extreme.
Only other minor complaint is that some of the holes run pretty close together and you have to watch out for wandering players and incoming wayward shots.
But what a great value!! For $28, an reasonably interesting layout and good conditioning.

Best course for the price in Charlotte
I know it’s not exactly Charlotte, as the course is out in Marshville on the far side of Union County, but it’s absolutely worth the drive. Probably has the most elevation changes at any course in the area. Fun layout with challenging holes and good greens. Nice staff with a small but decent pro shop. If you within an hour you’ve got to try Eagle Chase.

Worth the drive
I hesitated playing this course because of a 45-minute drive from my home in Charlotte, but so glad I did. The course was in excellent shape; nice fairways and spotless greens. The layout is a gem, with amazing views throughout and some holes that force you to make decisions on strategy. If I lived closer I’d be a regular.

Great value
Played Friday, considering the extreme lack of rain that we have had, this course is in great shape. Fairways and greens in great shape, this course has soybean challenging holes but is fun to play. It is a bit out of the way but worth the drive and they have great chicken salad sandwiches.

Course great, Greens slow
Everything about this course was great. Hidden gem. But the greens were very slow. Could be time of year where it’s scary to cut them down but very slow.

Worth the drive
Eagle Chase keeps coming up in ads and feeds on my phone so i decided to take a chance. What a great course. The course was in fantastic shape and the weather was perfect. And the price was a real bargain. I did not mind the drive into the country to get there. We could have used a marshal or someone out there herding along a few really slow groups, but they finally let us by and we finished in under 4 hours. I will definitely be returning this Fall for more rounds.

Always stunning
Course is in immaculate condition and pace of play was great. Greens were super slow but I think it’s due to the lack of rain in the area. Coming from fort mill it’s definitely a drive but one worth making. Will be back

Hidden gem
The course is great. Very scenic. A lot of elevation change. The greens are slow right now because they punched them about two weeks ago. I would wait till late October to get the full effect. Staff was friendly. Most of the holes from the green tees don't require driver.

Must play
4 hour round on Sunday . Interesting layout. Lots of elevation changes. Water comes into play on multiple holes . Course in very good condition. Greens were very firm and true , but ran slower than expected, and that’s not a bad thing. Highly recommend and will definitely play again many times .

Great Experience
A friend and I played in under three hours on 8/27/2019 and had no one in front or behind us. The senior tees have been moved back to the original spots where they used to be so as to make the game fun .I love playing a course that has no houses on it.
