A real gem

First time I played this course today.

Takes one hour and half drive from my house.

But course conditions are so nice I was impressed.

If you have time, I really recommend this course .

Cheraw State Park is one of our favorite places to play!! Such a beautiful and well maintained golf course! Wildlife makes it even more beautiful! Staff is exceptional and friendly! Love, love, love Cheraw State Park golf course!!

This course is quite a gem! It is a bit out of the way but worth the drive. Course is part of the South Carolina Park system and is an Audubon Society Sanctuary. Challenging at all levels. When we played the pace of play was outstanding and conditions were great!! A true pleasure to play.

Cannot say enough good things about this course. We play here every time we come South. Just a gem to play and great rates. Staff very very friendly and they go out of their way to accommodate our needs.

This is one of the best golf courses around. Everything about it is nice. I play a lot of ocal North Carolina courses and the fairways and greens are not as nice as this state park. What I enjoy the most is how quite it is, its in the woods and there's no cars or houses. Completely relaxing.

Your always greeted warmly from the staff and they go out of their way to ensure you have a great experience. I never mind driving the hour to play here.

Greens are wretched. I hope they get better as the season progress. Pace of play was as bad as the greens. 6 hr round, no embellishment. The rest of the course is as expected for this time of year... just ok if you are lift, clean, and place. Some holes were fun and some were boring. Pro shop staff is only staff I was in contact with and was very friendly.

course is in really good condition for this time of the year. course is always fun to play.

Nice layout with generous fairways and large greens. Course was in good condition for winter. Some holes have a length challenge with large bunkers, and sharp doglegs. Fairways were tight, so not much grass at all under ball. Will play again.

Great course layout, I think they have a new superintendent for about a year now... more consistent course conditions. They are putting a lot into the course like cutting trees out around greens so the sunlight can get in to grow the greens better. I wish I lived closer, I would play more often. Only draw back is that it is always busy and SLOW. I would hope that management would take a look at this, it took us 4 3/4 hours to play and we shot 72 and 83.... had to wait on every shot.... needed a course ranger

This is a fantastic course. Kind of in the middle of nowhere but worth the trip.

I have played here a number of times and the course is always in great condition.

It is fair and has lots of character with some beautiful holes.

A must play.

There was a lot of rain the day before but course she'd the water well. Carts were 90' rule also it was only 48 out.

The fairways are nice and wide, while the tree lines are covered in pine needles, so easy to find hooks and slices. The greens are big, but some bunkers could use some more sand and the cart path needs a lot of attention, but it won't impact your game...
