Hidden Gem
Great course. Play it often. Deceptively difficult but fair. Large fairways, numerous bunkers, but course is protected by quick greens with ample undulations. Only complaint is most bunkers need real sand. Very inconsistent and do not drain well after a rain. Staff exceptionally helpful and genuinely nice. Best value for money in area.
Outstanding Again
This is the first time back to this course in over 10 years and it is the way I remember it, outstanding. Great course layout, conditions were very good for early March, played in under 4 hours and the staff in the pro show were excellent. I will definitely be back again but this time I won't wait 10 years.
Superb Value
Beautiful course, friendly courteous staff, and an amazing value. Carts in tip top shape, club house clean and inviting. Will definitely go back.
excellent
This course was better than described. It was in very good condition for this time of the year. It was worth the detour and I will try to come again.
great course
tee time was at 10:50 on a saturday morning and course was pretty busy upon arrival. Got a hot deal on golfnow.. usually $40 on the weekends. Nice pro shop with lots of options, wide grass driving range in good shape, big practice putting green next to first tee. Good mix of holes and great course conditions. Cart paths were pretty rough and bunkers were basically empty. Only reasonable complaint was we got stuck behind a group of 5 on the back 9 and it took about 2 hrs 45 mins to play. Front 9 pace of place was great. Greens and fairways were in excellent shape, tee boxes were good. Would definitely play again.
Hidden Gem
Being a resident of Pinehurst, I have always a high standard for golf courses, and this course was a very pleasant surprise. Playing the day after a sizable thunderstorm the course was in very good condition giving the circumstances. I have yet to find a better golf value in the Carolinas. This is a must play!
Excellent course

Hidden Gem
Course is always in fantastic shape. Beautiful walk through SC sandhills, pine forests, and lake area. Great value. Would highly recommend to anyone who appreciates tough but very fair layouts. Greens are always near perfect and usually quick.
Course is in great shape!
As always, I enjoyed my round. Course is in great shape!
Great course
This is by far the best track around this area...From the fellas in the clubhouse to the conditions of the course always makes it a great round..teeboxes and fairways are always plush and the greens roll true and are all in great condition...course is immaculate!
Great
For the money cannot beat this course. I've played it several times and all were great experiences but a couple days ago I was surprised at the better course conditions. Hats off to the maintenance crew. The blue tees play much more difficult on certain holes.and make the round more interesting. Please stop and play. You won't regret it. I will be back often!
The course was in great shape. The only down fall was the bunkers had some rocks and pretty hard while other were soft. Greens were fantastic.
Big Course
It was my first time here and it was a pleasant surprise. The staff was very friendly and because I was early and the tee was open they let me go when I was ready.
The course is rolling with wide fairways lined with tall pine trees. The greens are big, in great shape and roll true. Some of the traps are a little rough. They play more like waste areas, which fits in with the sandhill terrain. The rough is lush but not very penalizing. There are just one or two forced carries. All but two holes provide a ground route to the green. The tee boxes are in good shape but need to be leveled again.
The only thing to beware is the cart path. The pine tree roots have created a thousand speed bumps in the cart path. If you aren't careful about where you drive you can get beat up by the end of the day.
It was a bit of a drive for me but worth it and I will return. Next time I am bringing quarters so I can buy the pellets to feed the fish and turtles between the 13th an 14th holes. They were ready but I was not!
