great course and awesome southern hospitality
returned to this course after playing there 4 years ago. welcomed at the pro shop like an old friend returning. the manager, brick hyduke, could not have been more welcoming and helpful. he came out to the range and gave my wife a tip about her swing which had immediate results. the course conditions were very good considering the time of year and the harsh winter they had. in my opinion, it is important for the state park to provide enough funds to maintain this facility for it is a hidden gem. there is evidence of deteriating turf on the fringes of the course and some rough cart paths which is likely a result of maintenance budget cutbacks.this is to be expected to some degree as it reflects the state of the golf industry everywhere. that been said, it would be a shame to see this excellent course suffer. I would recommend this course to all and am looking forward to going back soon.

Cheraw State Park is one of my favorite courses to play. The layout is great and challenging. The course is always in excellent shape. The greens are always very well kept and roll great! I can't wait until summer when the fairway grass comes to life. I always enjoy my round at Cheraw State Park.

Great Course, Great Views. Don't pass up playing this course if you are in the area.
Nice course
Played when weather cool and rainy. Staff super friendly and greens in great shape for early February. There was hardly anyone on the course because of cool weather. Enjoyed this course and a great value with hot deal or winter rates.

The only issue is the sand bunkers were wet and need improvements.

This is nice course to play with really nice scenery. Some challenging holes to play too. I really enjoyed playing this course. I will be back.
nice course with well protect greens
Wide fairways with huge greens ( except the fourth ).the back nine is challenging , the 10 th 12 ,13 and the 16 are quite long par 4s that needs long second shot and views are just spectacular
This course should be on everyone's list
We have played this course a number of times and the course condition this year was the best ever. The staff at the course are extremely friendly. I would recommend this course to anyone.
