Pine Ridge Country Club

You can't beat this little jewel of a course hidden near the small town of Edgefield, SC. Course is maintained very well year round with a great staff to cater to your golf needs. The greens are in outstanding shape with the rest of the course in good shape. For the money, pace of play and overall course difficulty if you don't play this course, that's a shame.

Pine Ridge is a nice course just outside of Edgefield, SC. The course is in good condition, bunkers raked and greens immaculate. BUT, as other reviewers have said "very slow". If the greens keeper could get the stimp up 2 notches that would make this course all the better. It is also a drivers paradise with wide open terrain so let the bombing begin. The course has a very nice layout with a wonderful selection of doglegs. So bring your fades and draws with you. The card reads a slope of 120. I would say maybe 124. If they added some strategic bunkering in the fairways you could really make this course tantalizing. Fun course to play due to ability to "grip it and rip it" around dog legs.

Course was "out in the sticks", so I was not expecting much. It turns out it was well worth the 35 minute drive from my home. Course was in good condition from tee to green and all the greens were in very good condition. The layout was interesting with many gentle doglegs and the course was wide from tree line to tree line on most holes. The Bermuda rough was not deep, but you could lose a golf ball if you did not mark it well. The Club house was good as was the snack bar/restaurant. Staff was friendly. I will definitely come again.

The Pine Ridge course was is fair condition considering the drought experienced here the last several months. The greens was fairly true but much slower than I've been used to playing. The course has some challenging holes with a couple hazards at the end of fairways demanding distance control on tee shots. Course knowledge is definitely an advantage.

This hidden gem is a must play course. The greens were fabulous, a little slower than what I was expecting, but every one was beautiful. Do yourself a favor and give this course a try.

Always enjoy playing this course, friendly staff, good food and wonderful course and its layout. My favorite for the cost! Shot out to (kurt) the manager.

Great course. Worth the drive to play.

2nd time playing this course. 1st time we had a great time. Greens were running nice, fairways in great shape. 2nd time the greens were even better but we did run into some very slow walkers and 2 people riding behind them playing. Would not let my 2-some play through. They were very rude so a marshal on the course would have been an easy fix. Tried to be nice to the 2 people ahead of us but they were so nasty. No reflection on the course though. Super nice play to play especially for the money. I will be making this a regular stop on our weekly stop.

Great course for the money

Course I've played a few times over the years, glad I played it again. Nice hot day today so not very crowded I played in two hours. Great check in, nice layout not super difficult but can get your attention if you don't drive it straight. Played the whites around 6300 yds plenty for me. Every hole fair and demanding in its own way. Greens on the large side with three pin positions with green chart on golf cart, all accurate today. Hit one bunker shot today, sand was very compact. Greens in good shape but slower than what I'm normally used to but adjusted after a couple of holes, difficult to make anything longer than 10 feet but easy to two putt since the ball stops pretty quickly when it starts to loose pace. Very nice clubhouse facilities, not much going on today but I'm sure on the weekends the bar and restaurant area look enticing. Recommend, good layout.

Will return to play as the staff and course was wonderful.

I play this course quite often. They are always trying to improve some aspect of the course. In 6 years of playing this course, I have never seen it in this great of shape. Kurt and Butch and the rest of the staff should be extremely proud of their golf course.

Challenging holes yet doesn't overly punish you for some errant shots

I would play this course everyday if I could, nice fairways, nice greens just terrific

Love the layout and location. You feel like you have the course all to yourself and with it being in the country a little bit its very relaxing and peaceful. Greens in good shape, fairways needing a little love/water. Traps could use a little more sand, but regardless course is worth the drive. Priced right.

Good course for the money. Enjoyed playing it. Will definitely play again.

Course has excellent driving range and putting greens. COURSE HAS PRO ON DUTY DAILY FOR LESSONS.
