Lancaster Golf Club

Lancaster is a very pretty course.the fairways are lovely as are the greens. There are some very nice holes, some a little tricky. When we first arrived we thought it looked as if it would be easy, unfortunately our score said otherwise!

Fairways were in wonderful condition. Good lies throughout. Greens were very grainy and bumpy -- also slow. Tees were so hard you couldn't get your tee in the ground. Many fire ants around teeing areas (not acceptable). The club house and carts are seedy but the course is in good shape especially considering the low price to play. No ranger in evidence. A twosome two groups ahead held us up. Even though we played in 4 1/2 hours, it could have been less than four. No advantage for lady players -- they need to set up some better forward tees.

Picked tee time from Golfnow. So glad Lancaster GC uses it because I will now make it a point to return on my own. Greens/fairways were perfect condition. They keep their carts in great working condition and provide sand bottles to repair divots.

Go back for Lancaster. This is a wide open course. Bunkers well raked and Fairways cut. Greens are in good shape. Holes bend both ways.

The hybrid greens rolled smoothly. The fairways and bunkers were also in good shape. The rough around the greens is very thick and definitely adds a challenge if you miss a green. The front nine is open but plays longer because of the uphill terrain. The back nine is more scenic and tree lined. Most tee boxes are good. A few need work. Overall, it's worth the ride.

Enjoyed an excellent round of golf at Lancaster. I was joined by a local member on the second hole. Two foursomes let us play through, then it was smooth sailing. Played in about 3 hours. The course was in great condition, with plush fairways and rough, and the greens were very smooth, but not real fast. An excellent value.

First nine is open and links like course. Fareway and green were in great shape. Back nine have regular, but there is up and down. Couple of front nines were exposed to major roads and a few cars horned when I was about to hit. Staff was extemely kind and a staff toured me the course as well as tip to play. Good expeeience..

Very well kept course. Fairways, Rough, and Greens all in excellent condition. Golf carts very clean and in good running condition.

This is a great place for all type of golfers it has all the greens in great shape and the fairwayes are good to hit 3-7 woods off with good grass. the staff is helpful and friendly .

I played here for the first time in May. I have since played five rounds, and I live in Charlotte. The staff goes above and beyond to make a positive experience. The fairways are in excellent condition and the greens roll true. It would be easy to say they need to update the clubhouse or that it is an older facility, but they have the things I like about a course really nailed down. Great value and really allows you to enjoy a course that is not overbooked.

Lancaster Golf course is a course everyone should experience. It's front nine fairways are open and greens are easy to hit but the putting is not as easy as it looks. You have to be able to read the greens to shoot a low score. The back nine is a little closer on the closing holes and the greens are faster. There is an island green that can intimidate some golfers if you look too long at the water and not at the green. This course is a pleasure to play and everyone should have a great time here. The staff is super friendly and offer tips about playing the course if you ask. So ask, they do everything to make your round enjoyable.

This course is in amazing condition. Fairways are some of the best I have played this year. I have played three times in the last month. I live in S. Charlotte and it is well worth the drive down. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. My only critique is they need some water coolers on the course. I am seriously considering taking advantage of the membership here.

Got out at 7:48 and was able to lead the pack. Course was in very good shape and even though greens had been aerated 6/3 they played well. Course is well maintained and is worth the 40 minute drive from my house.

This course is one of the best I have ever played. Great fairways and greens. It is not one of the most difficult I have played. The second par 3 on the front nine is surrounded by water and the hole before it is guarded by water in the front. There are some hills and elevated greens on some of the holes. I enjoyed playing here and will return to play it again. The staff was very nice and the food was good.

This has got to be one of the nicest courses I`ve played since moving to the Carolinas, with some of the friendliest staff. My wife and I are not expert golfers by any means but this was a fun and challenging course. We had a great time, and plan to make this a regular stop.

The staff went out of their way to get us on the course. There was a mix-up from Golfnow but he got us on the course just a few minutes later than the original time. The course was a great challenge and was in great shape. I was visiting family in Charlotte and they had not played this course. We will be back to play again.

The course was in excellent shape. From the tee boxes, the fairways and the greens, the course as a whole is in perfect condition. The greens are pretty fast. The only complaint that I have is there is no drinking water throughout the course. One water fountain on the front nine doesn't work and only one on the back nine. At the very least this course could have some water coolers placed around the course. But all in all a very pleasant trip!
