The Valley at Eastport Golf Club
About
Architect Dennis Griffiths designed this track as a finesse course. He did not produce the typical beach layout when he created this 18-hole design, built in 1988. It has narrow bermudagrass fairways and large bentgrass greens and is bordered on the east by the Intracoastal Waterway.
Holes No. 1 through 15 are short, and the course lulls you up to this point. Then, the last three holes are uncharacteristically difficult. The course is mostly flat, with occasional uneven lies. Some tree-lined fairways have doglegs. The course is always fun to play and an especially fun round of golf for couples.

Good challenge
On vacation and first time playing this course. First big challenge was finding a place to park. Was so crowded ; which I guess is good for them, that many golfers almost missed teetimes while searching for a parking spot. Almost seemed like they overbooked tee times as we had to wait on carts and then have to wait on every shot ; sometimes for 5-10 minutes. The course itself is challenging as it is hilly and undulating with many blind shots with hills hiding bunkers or water. If you're unfamiliar with the course and/or don't have a good golf GPS you're playing a guessing game. Otherwise the course is in pretty goid shape with fast greens and the staff was very friendly. Interesting to play but the parking issues and pace of play dampened my enjoyment. Would give it another try and hope for a much less busy day.
You get what you pay for
It was a beautiful day and we got to play golf on short notice… Wasn’t all bad. Not a top tier track
Excellent mid-range course for mid to high handicappers.
Course was in good condition except for all the leaves in the traps. Could use a rake in the traps.
Inexpensive
The course is inexpensive and interesting and with all the water challenging
Great Shape
Fairways a little sparse but expected this time of year. Greens in good shape. Great value.
Playing 9
After calling the pro shop and could not get a tee time for 9 until after 2pm - went on Golfnow and booked 9 holes at 132pm for $25. Since I had to be somewhere at 4pm - it was perfect. Greens were fast - fairways and tee boxes were ok. Not as good as Sandpiper Bay or Rivers Edge but they were a little more expensive.
