About
Architect Dennis Griffiths designed this track as a finesse course. He did not produce the typical beach layout when he created this 18-hole design, built in 1988. It has narrow bermudagrass fairways and large bentgrass greens and is bordered on the east by the Intracoastal Waterway.
Holes No. 1 through 15 are short, and the course lulls you up to this point. Then, the last three holes are uncharacteristically difficult.The course is mostly flat, with occasional uneven lies. Some tree-lined fairways have doglegs. The course is always fun to play and an especially fun round of golf for couples.

Length is not a premium
Course requires positional tee shots to facilitate approach shots to the green. Layout proves that distance is not the only factor to scoring. You have to think your way around this layout. Enjotable to play with an old-time feeling. Staff both pro-shop and maintenance were great, friendly and respectful.

New Low Score
There was a frost delay. The staff kept us updated and was very organized getting everyone out. Course conditions very good. I shout a new low score of 79!

Needs Work
Course overall was in decent shape.
No rakes in most of the bunkers, No signs as to direction of next hole, very few yardage markers on fairways. Outlying area full of leaves and pinecones. Paths in very poor condition.
Fairways and greens in good shape.
These courses have to remember, you will always have first time players.
Not an easy course to play but had a good time.

Appreciated Friendliness - Help - Allowing Wife to drive cart
I am just getting back into golf after a 12 year absence. At 69, this means loosening long ago golf muscles, learning to adapt to new tightness and swing as well as simply relearning the game. My wife is by no means a golfer and Eastport allows her to drive the cart and pull the pin for me. This is a huge deal for we like doing things together and allows me to work on my game at my pace without holding back others. Thee staff at Eastport (Mark) very helpful, supportive, fun to talk to and provides great advice. ut having my wife drive the cart a huge deal and now she is interested in learning the game.

Too short
Course is too short to enjoy. Par is 70 . 11 holes have water but it really doesn’t come into play very much. Be ok to play with the Mrs. but the boys would give me the angry side eye
