About
Architect Dennis Griffiths designed this track as a finesse course. He did not produce the typical beach layout when he created this 18-hole design, built in 1988. It has narrow bermudagrass fairways and large bentgrass greens and is bordered on the east by the Intracoastal Waterway.
Holes No. 1 through 15 are short, and the course lulls you up to this point. Then, the last three holes are uncharacteristically difficult.The course is mostly flat, with occasional uneven lies. Some tree-lined fairways have doglegs. The course is always fun to play and an especially fun round of golf for couples.

Not for the serious golfer
Got out as a single early Sunday Monring.Palyed the back 9 in 1 hour 15 minutes.Worst fears realized as aI was behind a husband/wife duo on the front for 3 hole, they let me play thru. I caught up to a foursome by the 5 th , they let me play through. Played the front in 1 hour 30 minutes, not bad. Course is perfect to take a beginner on. I would play there again with my wife , but not with the men in my group. Surprised they let me out as a single on a Sunday morning

Overall we enjoy playing this course. It is deceptively difficult for a short track. The only complaint I have is that the 150 yard markers are not even close - a couple are more like 170 to 180 yards. I wish they would remeasure and replace the markers.

Okay for a Warm Up Round
The open course layout lends itself toward a good opening round for your week. However, the greens were horrible; being inconsistent from hole to hole and damaged on a number of occasions. The women's tees are very fair.

Pace of Play
Very slow pace. There were 4 pairs in a row, plus ourselves and we were waiting at every hole. I think they let out too many groups very close in time.

Great features
My son and I have played this course before and found it improved and played with a couple that told us of the improvements over the past couple of years. Found the improvements very good for the average golfer.

All was fine except.........
............the pace of play was TERRIBLE. i would expect a course as nice as Valley at East Port Golf Club would have a ranger "patrolling" the golf course. This would help the pace of play to improve.

Nice course but over crowded
They need to spread out the Tee times. Took almost 5 hours for a round. Nice course though
