#4 West is a cool short par three with several good tee angles into an undulating green. Photo submitted by DenisDotson on 03/28/2020

The best scenery is on #8 West - a long and testing par 5 along the Calabash River. Photo submitted by DenisDotson on 03/28/2020

worth every dollar..enjoyable round
course great..clubhouse needs facelift..showing its age
Wonderful experience
Played at 12:30, very quiet on this day even though weather was great. Great pace and friendly staff
GREAT COURSE
HAVE PLAYED HERE SEVERAL TIMES IN THE PAST. ALWAYS A GREAT EXPERIENCE. CONDITIONS WERE PRISTINE.. YOU CAN SCORE WELL IF YOU STAY IN THE FAIRWAY.
Nice scenery
Good golf course. Only problem for me was the water on the 6th hole on the East Course. Good spacing between golfers so never had to wait or to keep people waiting. Greens and fairways and tee boxes were in great shape. I would definitely play it again.
Tough Greens
The course was in very good condition. A few wet spots in the fairways. Greens were in great shape though not fast. I am usually quite good at reading greens but these were difficult. You need to walk around the hole to get a good read.
course good challenge
When I come down to myrtle beach I like to play that course , and if I got a chance I play the east course .
The Pearl West
My foursome had a great time. Staff extremely friendly. Course conditions were great. Greens were very true and fast. We all really enjoyed the round.
Greens need work.
The round was very slow. At times there were as many as five groups on one hole.
Green speed was inconsistent. Top dressed with sand leaving clumps of sand all over the greens.
Still in need of some cleanup after Matthew.
Cart paths in bad shape.
Great Course
I rated the course condition a 3 only because of the amount of water after the rains. They said they've had 14" of rain this year and 7" in the last 2 weeks of September, we were told to expect a wet course. So they can't avoid that, however the water was managed excellent, we played a few other courses and Pearl West was by far the driest course we played. Had it not been a downpour for the week before we played, the condition of the course would've been 5 star. Definitely a great course, would highly recommend it. Mixes distance with precision shots well. Great layout, friendly staff that really helped out. The grounds crew were doing everything they could to get the water off the course and it showed. They did as well as they could with the amount of rain in the past week.
Pretty Course
Very nice course and an excellent staff. Course conditions were a little sloppy but only because of the excessive rain. Would love to play it again when it dries up and the overseeding is done. Pretty course with great views on the finishing holes.
Fun Course Worth Playing
Had played the East prior but first time on the West; the Pearl has 36 fun holes of golf. Played Pearl West on Labor Day which was a few days after a tropical storm doused the area. So the greens were very soft and very slow. Lots of water on the course and most bunkers had standing water. Otherwise the course was in good shape with only a few greens with bare spots and few spotty tee boxes. Good layout with a nice variety of lengths with all par 5s being on the long side. Nice finishing scenic holes along the Calabash river.
Only complaint was that I had intentionally booked the 1st tee time (7:30) as a single on GolfNow with the intent of playing in 2 1/2 hours. When I arrived at the course they said they had a policy of no singles off as the 1st tee time and had me wait for a twosome that had the 8:00 time. Still got around in about 3 1/2 hours and enjoyed the pairing.
Beautiful course
Very picturesque and well maintained; challenging but not to difficult for higher handicap golfers; very fast greens.
One of my favorites
The staff was excellent and very friendly.
The course was in very good condition and moderately challenging.
Excellent overall golfing experience.
Great layout poor conditions
My father and I played the West course, the course had a very good layout with fairly tight drives on the front 9 and a little more open on the back. The problem was that the greens had been saturated and balls plugged on every green, the largest plugs I have ever seen actually. The greens were spotty and threadbare in spots as well. It wasn't very expensive so not terrible for the money. The starters were very helpful, we did have the first time of the day so that might account for the soggy green conditions.
Pearl East
Great Course, Great condition, Just wish we played better, LOL! I will definitely play it again after some more practice.
Nice course
Nice layout, nice burmuda greens, trees and water are in play most holes. Great staff.
Good round
Last minute ability to play and was very close to my condo. Showed up and pleasant surprise with good grass fairways, smooth putting greens. Bunkers were ok too. I would play again
Great layout
Great layout and great course conditions.
Not bad.
I played the west. It was in great shape. Course is above average for the area. And price was about average. Was drier than other courses in the area for amount of rain that had been put down in days before we played. Definitely worth the money?
Vanilla Review
Course layout okay. Greens were ridiculously soft and slow. Really unusual process by starters. If you want to warm up on the range or putting green count on carrying your bag . Not a bad experience but would choose not to play the course again
