#4 West is a cool short par three with several good tee angles into an undulating green. Photo submitted by DenisDotson on 03/28/2020

The best scenery is on #8 West - a long and testing par 5 along the Calabash River. Photo submitted by DenisDotson on 03/28/2020

The Pearl is a Gem
The course was in great shape the staff was friendly, the cart girl came around multiple time and made sure we knew when last call. The pace of play was great barely saw another group
Great greens
Great course. Greens were in great shape. Must play
very impressed
Excellent mix of holes...first rate greens.. Although the Myrtle area suffered from heavy rains/ flooding this track has soldiered through and come out a winner. If you are in the area, go play it.
The Pearl is a Gen
This was our first time to the Pearl East. Conditions were wet and it was CPO. The setting is ideal. No housing on the course. Every hole was very scenic and the setting is quite serene. Greens were good, not great. Played as a twosome at 11:30 am and it was almost like we had the course to ourselves. Finished in under four hours. Definitely worth a return visit.
Quiet Round
Not many golfers playing, despite nice weather and improving conditions throughout the area.
Good value for a Hot Deal
Played Saturday Nov 14. Not many people on the course so pace was pretty much determined by how we played. The course was wet in several places. The fairways had high grass because the mowers could not get to a lot of spots due to the wet conditions. Greens were ok but had some bare spots. For the price we paid it was a very good deal. I would probably not pay full price here until we have a dry spell
etroit
tres beau terrain, mais assez etroit pour un sliceux comme moi.heureusement nous avons joués vegas.le marshall nous a avisé d'accéléré le jeu rendu au 18trou(wow)partie complétée en 4:20hr
Pearl East
The course had a lot of standing water from all the rain received in the previous 5 days but it was still an enjoyable day as the sun was shining all day. Due to the standing water, you had to hit the ball in the air most of the way as you got very little roll after the ball would land. The greens were in good shape and were the only part of the course with no standing water.
West Was Fun
My wife and I played the West course and had a great time. It was a bit long for her from the Red tees but wasn't unfair and other than the odd 18, there are no tricky holes. It was a great value and I can't wait to come back and play the East course.
Poor conditions
The course is very pretty with a nice layout. We played the east course, which had a lot of trees and was challenging if you weren't in the fairways. That's about all that was good. The greens were true, but ridiculously slow. They were probably a half inch thick. They claimed to be in overseeding season, but NOTHING was even trimmed. Fairways and tee boxes were no different. Hopefully the conditions get better as the overseeding comes to an end. Most reviews we read prior to going, bragged about how fast the greens were. So that was disappointing. We stopped at the turn for food on the Go, and our order was screwed up. As ordering, the 3 gentlemen before us had their order screwed up as well. I won't play here again, unless I'm here in the summer, which I probably won't be.
Not bad for the $$.
Older course that still has been maintain to keep up with other top courses. Pace of play wasn't too bad, but I think the first tee time helped. Only 4:30 hrs to play. A couple greens had some burn on them, but all the rest were pretty neatly manicured. Definitely recommend.
Excellent experience at Pearl East
The course was really in good shape and is an excellent design. The greens could have been in better shape (they weren't bad, just not as smooth as one might expect). I really enjoyed the day. It will certainly be on my list of courses to play the next time I am in Calabash.
Pearl West - Lovely Course
Beautiful course and grounds, staff very eager to please and make sure you enjoy the round and the experience of playing there. Special thanks to Stu and our beverage girl, Heather.
Enjoyable Course
Found this course to be in good condition and quite enjoyable. In some ways it was a typical Dan Maples course but not quite as much character as you usually find on his layouts; for instance, I found the East Course to be, to my mind, a better layout but together as pair for anyone looking to play 36 you could do MUCH worse than the Pearl. One word of caution, if you're a 100 + player, bring plenty of balls. The only negative I gave the day was the food selection, we played on a Saturday morning and asked for hot dog at the turn and all they had to offer were pre-made ham, turkey, and tuna sandwiches. If you're looking for a nit to pick, that was it, otherwise a thoroughly enjoyable course and day.
Great course management
Enjoyed the course, good pace, some scenic holes, nice clubhouse.
Nice layout, moderate challenge
Always in good condition, the West Course has its challenges but overall not very difficult.
Very good golf experience
Scenic golf course, good layout. Friendly staff. Some of the finer details need attention, edges of greens a little crusty and sand traps need to be raked/filled in.
Good for the $$
Enjoyed the course, nice layout, a typical Maples design with a number of doglegs and yes, at least one hole (on this course, two) with a tree in the fairway making you choose your option for playing the hole. A few greens had some bare spots which you'll find on a number of courses in the area, apparently there was a mold issue last winter, but they tried to put the pins in spots where the bare areas wouldn't come in play. Overall, a nice day on a good and scenic course.
Chapel Hill
Not a bad track, greens had been aerified, the sand made the greens really slow. Some fairways were being cut which left alot of grass all over the place. Would play it again just would prefer it to be during better times and conditions. This was a Saturday and nobody was there except the 2 amigos cutting grass that seemed to have been long overdue.
Nice layout
Nice layout, but a few disapointents the halfway point was after the 13th hole, and the course was dry and clippings on fairways plus a lot of sand on the greens after aeration.
