Rio Pinar Golf

This course is in good shape. The staff is very cordial. You can play at many different tee lengths.

The Rio Pinar Golf Course is a well managed course that has improved significantly in recent years. It is a reasonably priced course that is fun to play.

From MI and come down yearly to get away from the cold and snow. The wife and I enjoy golf so have played a bunch of places around the area. The first time was 2-3 years ago, and was told it was differnt owner ship. That was our first time, and it was like a ghost town and the round was more expensive. The big club house wasn’t staffed and bar was empty. No staff at the door to greet you and give you a cart. That has all changed for the better!! Staff at the door, newer carts, bar with bartenders, cart girls, rangers, it’s an actual golf course now.

Areas for improvement. I played there last Thursday left my glasses in the cart upper left corner. We were the last people on the course

Some How they were not there the next morning 👎🏼 and haven’t turned up since.

We started today with a 7:30a tee time, made the turn a little before ten, I stopped asking for food and nothing kitchen doesn’t open until 11. I’m ok with that but have some pre-made stuff. Sandwiches, hotdog roller, breakfast sandwiches under a warmer light wrapped in foil. Anything. It increases revenue and makes your guest happier!!

Also the squirrels are crazy!! Sell a bag of peanuts for a $1 at hole 1 😂😂.

Overall good value for your money. Fairways need some work. Greens in good shape and fast.. Starter was very informative and friendly. Pace of play good

Staff was excellent. Conditions included decent tee boxes ans fairways, average greens, poor rough, and below average bunker conditions..All in all, a decent course for $50 or less.

Long course for ladies. Enjoyed the round. Greens are large, putted true. Course knowledge would have been helpful. We hope to return!

Nice older course a lot of critters bring peanuts. Well worth hot deal on golf pass.

Course seemed to be fine. The condition issues we encountered were being addressed. I would consider playing there again in hopes it may be better.

Course overbooks, Waited 40 minutes past my reservation for a cart. delay meant i couldnt finish before it got too dark . Cart was pretty worn with steering problem but i wasnt waiting any longer. Course was in good condition. Bar and food was excellent. Hope they can improve.

The course was wet so very little roll. The first hole was not available for play due to maintenance. The tees were a little patchy and the greens were a little slow. The course has a good layout. Maybe on a dry day it will play better. Got a Hot deal so it was cheap to play

Great course layout and condition. Ive played a few times at this course and it’s always behind. Last two times my cart wasn’t ready and had to tee off late. Carts also shut off randomly even in the “allowed to drive zone”. Last time playing some dude got upset we were teeing off while he and crew was filling divots? Overall seems like these kinks will be worked out.

New ownership.is doing an outstanding job updating amenities. Pace of play was a bit slow with no ranger to speed people up. Great food options, but service was very slow. Definitely recommend.

The course is in decent condition and layout is good. The greens are fast and predictable. Pace of play was on the slow side and I did not see any marshal trying to urge the slow players. I can see new electronic equipment being installed in the driving range. The apparently new clubhouse is beautiful. This course certainly looks like many improvement are in progress. Will certainly play here again when I can take advantage of a Golfnow hot deal.

Only problem were the golf carts. None were charged and when we got one 20 mins after our tee time, but then on 7th hole the it started to die again.

This created a traffic of golfers and made things a bit more rushed than we wanted it to be.

Very good course, very good service, and will be playing again.
