Rio Pinar Golf

- Called ahead to make sure there was a beverage cart on the course as it was a hot Florida afternoon.

- Was assured there was a beverage cart making the rounds so proceeded to book.

- By hole 7, we were on a 5.5hr pace of play due to slow play in front of us and no rangers on the course. Also, the beverage cart had not come around once. Called the pro shop and they said the cart was restocking at the bar.

- Stop at the turn to get water and Gatorade from the pro shop and it was locked with no staff in sight.

- Call again from the 13th tee to see about the beverage cart and was told they took the employee off the cart to help in the restaurant.

- Only bright side of this day was that the pro shop employee was kind enough to bring out drinks to us on the 14th hole.

- We're on the 18th fairway and notice a casual 8-some teeing off on the 10th. Not surprising haha. (photo attached)

- We finish the round and go into the restaurant to grab a quick drink and a bite to eat. We were promptly notified they were no longer serving food (it was roughly 5pm) and were doing last call.

- Leadership starts at the top and it's clearly evident it's non-existent here which is sad since this used to be a PGA tour stop years and years ago. Probably wouldn't play here again unless I was absolutely desperate.

Used to love this course. It’s gone down hill. They have a young manager who is very disrespectful and clearly the course is going down hill with him in charge. Over priced and they are double booking tee times which is throwing off pace of play. Course is in okay shape, but they need to replace the manager and get this course back to where it was.

It was a great day, the course was great, a few greens need attending to but all in all a great day.

Greens good all else just ok. As always slow play here, tee times to close together.

I like playing the course, will definitely be back soon.

First time playing course, teed off as a single ~3:30pm and finished ~6:30pm even with them sending off a twosome on in front of me on #10. This was an unheard of pace of play, not sure if a function of it being Monday, the rain in AM/early afternoon or the state of the course. Front 9 was definitely in poor shape as several reviews have mentioned, I thought the back was a little better despite some furry greens.

Adequate practice facilities and for purposes of just swinging solo practicing was great to play fast but with the inconsistencies of course not one to play against the buddies for too much money!

Tee boxes were beat up and greens were furry/patchy. Conditions have gotten worse since playing a couple months ago.

Loved playing this course. Lots of trees that were a challenge for some with us and the squirrels were a little too friendly but overall would certainly play this again.

Good course, but it and all of Florida need more rain.

I have seen this course on GolfNow often, but never made the trip. I am so glad that I did. What a hidden gem. I will certainly be back.

I was SO disappointed in this track! First I get there & the Assistant Professional was entirely rude, inadequate, & unprofessional!!

It was already a bad first impression… Terrible course maintenance & I could not even carry on. I asked for a refund, they gave me a “12 hole rain check”, which I probably will never ever use again.

- Fairways (ROCK HARD)

- Rough/Fairway 2nd Cut (Just sand, branches, roots, rock hard)

- Greens

The Head Professional should be ashamed & embarrassed to be called the “HP” of this course.

Course is in horrible shape. The greens had a lot of patches of grass in between bare spots. The pictures advertising this course was a great catfish job…

$75 w/tax and the course is in bad shape. I love the history of this course, but not worth the price. Fairways and tee boxes are like a cow pasture and the greens super bumpy and weedy. I won't be going back soon 😞.

Greens are bumpy and are beat up, fairways are ok but lots of bare spots (no grass),. Even the range is in poor condition. They need to do better, at these prices there are better options.

Overall the course is in great shape, Some greens are dryer then others but rainy season will help, 8/10 would play again
